A perfectly "national" hotel with frequent nationals. But... not at international standards because rooms have problems with cleaning, bad carpet, and old-fashioned interiors and technologies. Hotel staff DOES NOT speak another foreign language, only Chinese. Be prepared to deal with transportation and with Chinese-only breakfast (which is totally different from Western), at the beginning pretty good but craving for coffee...

The rooms haven't been vacuumed in weeks, and the carpet couldn't have been steam cleaned in the past 12 months. If you want an inexpensive place and don't care about living in filth, this is the hotel for you. Pros: 5 minute walk to the subway line; 5 minute walk to Carrefour if you want to buy water and snacks....

We (my wife and I)-non native english speakers-made reservations over the internet via Sinohotels-(2 people, 1 room) for a conference in Beijing.
