We stayed here for two nights. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. A big turn off is that nobody speaks English there! We would be screwed if our Chinese friend wasn't there with us. I had such a hard time to order food at the restaurant. Out of 5 waitress there nobody spoke English, even a word!...

Rooms are big, clean, and well equipped. The fitness center is better than the local gym that I go to in US. However, this is an international hotel and I expected them to be able to communicate in English! No one at the front desk could speak English. For this reason the check in and check out process was super...

I received outstanding services the very first time I checked in at the Front Desk. Leona Yang not only took her quality time to explain to me the facilities setup in different rooms she also guided me to my room. The Club Lounge is located at the top floor commanding a nice view of the Finance District. I always received...

...In order to break more windows. Visited here in Feb where the temperature outside was a cool 4C but the temperature inside was very hot and claustrophobic. Even with my window open all day long there was no respite from the unbearably high temperature that described my environment. The temperature in the corridor outside my room was far more pleasant...

A touch of luxury but I could tell a little wear and tear in the rooms. It was nice sitting by the window to see the incredible smog and traffic jam. I liked the soya bean and doughsticks at brekkie. But overall not very value for money.

The staff at the reception: clueless and useless teen girls. The room service: food brought from boys showing absolutely no social or courtesy skills. When you call: most of the time, the teen girl will sound like barking at you, in her poor English. You clearly bother her. Client base: Chinese wondering what the hell you White guy are doin...

Its located in what seems to be a converted office building. Nothing special, the Westin across the street is a much newer and better appointed hotel for a similar price. It seems this place is setup to cater to local Chinese tourists and lacks much of the food options and refinements I would expect from an 5 star hotel in...

I used to love the Intercontinental hotels but the Chinese hotels are really destroying the brand. Blandly designed, soulless and lifeless lobby, cheaply constructed, poorly maintained (broken electrical sockets, bruised and stained furniture) and with lackadaisical service (lampshades a kilter), I have little desire to stay at another Intercontinental again. Just had Taiwan beef noodles ordered to room service as...
