Really nice place John came and got all of us from the train station and took us back to the hostel. It is on the 23rd floor of an apartment block right next to the river, with a balcony. The views were amazing and you were not far from anything. Very clean place and John was always very helpfull and...

Don';t get me wrong, i liked this hostel, but it didn't feel as 'free' as others, because it is in someone else's home. It was very clean and friendly, the room was wonderful - a beautiful view of the Yangtze and CQ at night.

John's hostel is more like a homestay. It would be hard to find a better value for your money. As a tour operator he has helped me out of a few jams. He spent about 5 hours trying to retrieve a bag of mine left in a taxi. I called john from yichang, he once again got me out of...

We stayed at John's Cozy Nest in Chongqing for 2 nights at end of July 2010. The main reasons for us for coming to Chongching were on one hand that we wanted to meet some friends, enjoy some nice and spicy hot-pot and of course to investigate the possibilities for cruising the Yangzi River. We chose John's Cozy Nest mainly...

I rather accidentally found this beautifull and small guesthouse high above Jangtse river. Johns apartment is very clean and offers an awesome view of the city! The atmosphere is almost family-like, the prices good and the most important point ( at least in my opinion): There is a nice Fitness-center as well as a Spa-area (including a big swimming pool)...

My girlfriend and I were living in China for three months before we started backpacking on our last leg of the journey and by far the best hostel along the way was John's Cozy Nest. From the beginning, John had arranged for us a free pick-up from the airport upon arriving in Chongqing and without being asked, arranged an itinerary...

John came recommended through some other travellers we met on our trip and we weren't disappointed!! We booked a Yangtze river cruise through him from Yichang to Chongqing and then stayed at his hostel at the end. We were met on arrival at the port and then john sat down with us and gave us advice on where to go...

We arrived at 11pm in Chongquing with no reservation anywhere. We had an address of the three gorges hostel but when we arrived it was fully booked. The girl there was so helpful she walked us to John's cozy nest. We were so relieved when it turned out to be even nicer than the three gorges. It is a converted...
