Of course it's a budget Hostel but in previous years the cheerful staff and helpful attitude made it a fun friendly atmosphere. Here in 2016 I was really disappointed and I don't actually know if they've undergone new Mainland China management/staffing but I can say I recognized only one older Hong Kong face. Staff now seems unable to speak Cantonese...

If you pay around HK120 per night, you done expect 5* luxury. Budget hostel is fine for what it is, and half the price of other hostels in the area. We stayed 3 nights and had no problems. They had wifi, hot water, AC, comfortable bedding. The staff were a bit difficult to understand but got there in the end....

I switched to this hotel so I could hang out with a friend. I must admit his room was OK and quite large. The room I got had a roach in the bathroom, was dark and dirty, and had the rudest check in person ever. This place is just too big and while its location is good there seem to...

Ok I booked the room on the day to be fair to the hostel. However, when I arrived 6 hours later they had no idea I was coming, had sold my room, and the reception staff did not speak any English to convey this to me. Their solution to this was to walk me a block away to another office...

The price was fair. The beds and the room was good. If you don't have to arrange anything with the staff, it's a nice place. But the organization is SH**! Booked 4 nights (with a break for New Years Eve). The staff notes everything on small pieces of paper without any organization. Result: 1. Had to share one bed with...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
