Nice hotel, nice linens but the hardest bed I've ever slept on. Great breakfast, friendly helpful staff. If I come back I'll book a hotel on Kowloon because that's where we spent all of our time while here.

Good stay with very friendly staff. Breakfast was standard HIExpress buffet fare with decent options. No fitness center or gym. Rooms were very small, but somewhat manageable for two people. Location was within easy waking distance to metro and mid-level escalator area with. Cab to the big bar district of Lan Kwai Fong was about USD$7. 15 walk to Star...

The hotel has a very convenient location. All the main attractions are very close. Breakfast was quite ordinary for a hotel in Asia. Sufficient and tasty. 13 year old child to stay with us in the same room as promised at no extra charge. There were two unpleasant moments. The first one was - reservation of funds on the card...

We stayed at this hotel over Christmas 2016 with my family, having read all the 5* reviews of this hotel we decided to book. The reality is somewhat different, the one thing that is correct is that the hotel is in a great location. This is a Holiday Inn so expect a hotel of this standard, there are no baths...

Walking distance to HK Macau Ferry, close to the subway and a few steps away from Hollywood Road it perfectly suitable to experience Hong Kong Island. Only disappointment the breakfast, which doesn't have much variety to offer.

Alright so I'm usually not very harsh when it comes to critiquing anything. The hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are huge and clean and very eco friendly which is a huge plus in my book. When we arrived they were able to accommodate a last minute request which was amazing. Breakfast for us came included and the first day...

If you've been to other premises of Holiday Inn Express (HIEX), rest assured that this is just another standard Holiday Inn Express. Nothing superb just a room to rest at night. Food is okay (maintained by a third party restaurant), room is small (17 m sq) and other people have said the water pressure is terrible but I did not...

Easy access and good Neighbourhood with lots of chinese restaurants , 7 11 near by , and other food outlets near by in walking distance

Great hotel located in the centre of Soho/Central. MTR is 2 min walk, Airport Express free shuttle drops you off and picks you up around the corner from hotel. There is every shop that you could ask for within walking distance. With the MTR so close all tourist destination are available. Rooms are a decent size, clean and well equipped....

Good value but nothing special. Nevertheless very clean rooms, excellent location directly at blue line. Easy to reach. Acceptable breakfast and very good price ratio. I normally choose between the Jen and this one and they are both equal

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
