Due to recent hong kong activities and covid19, i have tried different budget hotels in hong kong. Originally i thought this hotel is a branded and traditional hotel, however i realize it is very old and simple hotel. The room size is just enough and walk around 12 mins from causewaybay mtr. Unfortunately the hotel has arranged a lower floor connected room to me. I can hear the conversation from next door clearly whole night. I wonder why they dont mention to me during checkin
Not recommend as there are a lot much better hotels in causewaybay.

We smelled smoking in the hallway on our way to our room. Room design was overall average. It was not too worn out. There is a smart tv in the room for guests to watch Netflix, Youtube, etc. In the beginning the bathtub drain stopper was broken and we had to call Housekeeping to fix it first then my girlfriend can take a bath. The shower head was leaking water, therefore the pressure from the water was weak. Service wise was not fairly a good experience I can remember to label the hotel as great considering it is known for good hospitality within the 4 star hotels group. We requested for late check out to 12:00 and they only offer us to 11:30. Perhaps we booked not too expensive rate compared to their previous higher rates, which could be a reason. Judging by the situation I am quite sure they could have offered it. Moreover, we were disturbed by Housekeeping at 11:00 on our departure day to remind us our check out time was at 11:00 when the front desk staff already confirmed the day before and as courtesy gave us 11:30 late check out time. We requested for more bottle of water and it did not arrived during the night. Lastly, we have forgotten a brand new unopened cheese wheel in the fridge when we checked out and after a hour we returned to the hotel to inform the front desk staff about it we were instructed to enter the room ourselves to see if it is still there. To our surprise the room was vacant and cleaned and the cheese was gone. Afterwards, we approached a housekeeping staff on that floor and she told us she has disposed it. It was kind of shocking to us. Shouldn't hotels usually keep any lost and found items for a limited time, especially if the item does not seem to be rubbish and they will try to contact the guest first if they will return to collect it before disposing?

The service from Concierge, Reception, Housekeeping and Breakfast staff were exceptional, helpful, courteous and magnificent. Our Executive Room was on 30th floor with fantastic outlook of Victoria Park and Central Library plus a bit of Harbour view, despite the room was a little smaller. The location was perfect and convenient. Stone throw from many bus routes at The Central Library, tram stop right outside the hotel, Causeway Bay MTR was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Plenty of eateries around the Jardine Bazaar and Sogo Department Store area. Price was reasonable. Previous stay was in an Executive Suite which was far bigger in size, unfortunately, it was sold out this time. Well recommended for any visitors to Hong Kong looking for a decent, friendly, convenient and value for money accommodation in Causeway Bay.

Stayed at Rosedale for 5 nights because of home renovations and we won't have electricity during that period, decided to book this hotel purely because it's walking distance to home so I could pop in quickly if needed.
When I entered the room I was suprised how warm it was and the smell of old cigarette smoke so I turned the aircon to the maximum hoping it would help with both.
About an hour later I needed to use the toilet, and I was horrified to see there was pee on the toilet seat!
Immediately I started checking everything else to see if everything is clean.
Both towels not only had stains on them but had holes as well. All corners hadn't been vacuumed properly. The smoke detector had cling film wrapped around it. The edge of the window sill seat had a small pile of dust, and even though the aircon was turned to the coldest for an hour the room was still warm and I was sweaty.
I took photos of the problems and showed the reception, who promptly upgraded me from a deluxe room to an executive room.
Upon entering the new room, I noticed it's exactly the same room and same size as the deluxe room. There is no difference at all.
I checked everything to make sure the room was clean, and set the temperature to the coolest again, but again, after an hour the room was still warm, I called the reception and they said they'll send housekeeping. Housekeeping simply turned the thermostat off then on again and said it's ok now then left. The rest of my stay I went to bed in only my underwear, and no duvet.

I stayed in this hotel for 14 days of quarantine. I'll say the room service is quite on point because they will deliver the food for you right after the food arrives at the front desk since you are not allowed to leave the room. The most important thing I look for living in a hotel is the internet connection. I thought it was the wifi router in my room is broken that's why it's so slow and bad. Eventually, I requested them to change the router and they did. However, I still get disconnected from the internet so many times and even though I did, the internet is so slow that when I facetime my friends, it always goes on reconnecting. When I ask the manager to fix it, they gave me an excuse saying there are too many people who are using the internet. I was like dude, you don't blame the customer for using your fuking internet and saying it makes it slow. if you expect that many people to live in your hotel, then get a fuking better internet connection then. I have to use my own hotspot for classwork and exams. Another problem is the fridge. It's not even cold and I requested to change it, they said no. The towel and hand towel have holes on them which show it's not new at all. I will never want to stay in this hotel if I'm staying over for a long period of time.

The hotel is located close to Causeway Bay HK and the rooms and general hotel atmosphere is good. However, the check-in staff follows a racialist agenda not allowing anyone from the Philippines, India, and host of other countries to stay. This is unrelated to Covid, even if you have stayed in HK without travel for more than 2 months you are not welcome. However Main land Chinese travellers are welcome. We were not informed of this requirement prior to booking with AGODA and as our booking was on a "no refund basis" this was obviously of concern especially as we were at first rejected and the staff made no attempt to give a refund. It took an hour of heated argument to get a room. The room hadn't been recently cleaned and was very dusty, we are having trouble with the interned and the lift key only works sometimes. All in all our advice would be to stay elsewhere and avoid the drama of oorly trained hotel staff and a racilist hotel policy.

First of all the bedding is clean but in my two week stay my room was not cleaned once, this was despite it being advertised as once per week. Clean towels have to be asked for and frequently have holes in them.
Beds are hard, carpets stained and furniture ripped.
Smells drift from room to room and there is a pervading unpleasant odour.
Standards are very low, spend your money on another establishment!

Lift is not working and have to wait for 20-30mins for lift as only 1 lift is working on 8 July.

The air conditioning is very noisy at night so advise one to check on air conditioning when check in.

Room make up is very slow and non responsive. Called up front desk to make up at 9am but room is not make up when back in the afternoon.

So advise one to call the front desk 2 times to confirm as housekeeping will not pick up calls and refer to front desk.

Very bad experience overall.

Overall, the hotel is half decent. The only gripe to cause my 3-star rating, is that they only included breakfast for one, knowing that it's for 2 people (we particularly asked for 2 separate beds), and the front desk would not make adjustments albeit the complaint. Not that we were having breakfast there everyday - matter of fact, my son had breakfast there only 4 times out of the 11 days of staying. I blame it on poor marketing and management leadership. If they make poor decision like this, what other bad decisions that can potentially impact their customers. In any case, this bad experience put a little dent on the otherwise rather enjoyable trip with my son.

Rude staff, no idea what to do. Told to wait for the key after checking in as rhe room needs ro bw checked. 20 mins later told that the system was down, and it had been when checking in so the first reason was a lie. Terrible service. Never again. In times od Covid-19 you would think they would deliver good service.. Not here

After you get off the Airport Link, there's a free airport express shuttle to the Rosedale hotel. It's the H3 line. It stops at several hotels and one of them is Rosedale. The shuttle will display the hotel name of the stops to alert you when to get off. It drops you off on Tung Lo Wan street, in front of Starbucks, just walk thru the alley to Shelter street where the hotel is. If possible, ask for a room facing the hill to get a better view.
