Five stars are clearly not enough for the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. The hotel is just beautiful as are the rooms with outstanding views of the harbor and Kowloon. But all of that pales when compared with the outstanding and truly caring service I received....More
Now the only and very, very small negative here is that my observations was that property is in need of a refurbishment, having said that its impeccable, but the decor in the public areas are somewhat dated. Service from check-in and check-out was great, thanks...More

A fantastic hotel. Beautifully decorated and the most amazing staff. Old school and classic. Crisp cotton sheets and Hermes toiletries. Great location near to Star Ferry. Great view from a harbour facing room.

In March of 2018 I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong for a week.
It is still the best hotel in Hong Kong.
The location, the service, the spa, the renovated rooms are perfection.
Even though the hotel went from 1000 employees to 500,...More

When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of
quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
