The location is great. It's right at the heart of the city with shops and restaurants close by. The service was fantastic. I had a small tear in my jeans and asked if they were able to repair it. They offered to do this for free which I went for and was pleasantly surprised by this. They did a great...

We stayed here for two nights in a harbour view room. The room was absolutely beautiful. Faultless. The room has everything you could need. Reception staff and concierge especially went out of their way to make our stay straightforward. We are in the Clipper restaurant for lunch and it was excellent. Staff polite and attentive. We were let down only...

It is not an easy task to pick a hotel to stay at in HK because of the vast number of great properties in this city. MO came into mind as it has been known for its legendary service and as a kid growing up in HK, MO's Clipper Lounge had provided some fond memories for me. Booking: Booking through...

During our first visit to Hong Kong, we stayed at 3 properties, including the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong (which is their flagship property). Located on Hong Kong Island, in the financial district, this property was outstanding in every way! The decor in the public areas as well as in the room was true old world elegance. The room was nice...

This is still a benchmark hotel the service is close to impeccable. I had a lovely view overlooking the harbour. Came in early so had a lunch at the cafe, as soon as we were close to finished our coffee, the check in staff came to the restaurant to whisk us away to our rooms. At other hotels you know...

Hong Kong already has an overwhelmingly impressive standard for 5-Star Hotels, but I personally find that, for me, the Mandarin wins the most criterion. The History of the place, the service, the ambience and the quality of the food separate it from the others. Perfect location on HK Island. Airport services are very good, if chosen to use their transfers....

Our third visit to the MO. Such a relief to be greeted so warmly by the Manager and to, once again, be enveloped by the MO charmed service and glorious, thoughtful hospitality. And the service remains discreet and almost imperceptible - just the way excellent service should be. Our suite on the nineteenth floor has beautiful views over the Harbour...

As soon as we landed from our flight, we were immediately met by one of the staff from the hotel who guided us through customs and helped us retrieve our luggage. The hotel car (MB S class) was waiting at a special exit to take us to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the doorman greeted us by...

A great hotel in the Central area. Near to the financial business district. Very accessible and MTR station is just right outside the hotel. Service was great. The food was good too. Pleasant experience. Keep up the good work!

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
