Simply perfect. One of our favorites. This is a stylish classic hotel in the middle of vibrant Hong Kong. Very difficult to find anything wrong. The rooms are perfect, plenty of choice of restaurants, great location....

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The food was exemplary and delicious; medium-rare steak, peking duck and hearty scrambled eggs all of these were amazing to eat. Lunch, breakfast and dinner was very impressive. The staff were also very polite.

Our stay did not disappoint yet again (I have stayed at this hotel twice before, many years ago). The service is impeccable, welcoming and discrete, and the rooms are beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped. The location is ideal, being on Hong Kong Island less than a 5 minute walk from the Star Ferry terminal. If you want somewhere that bit...

Located in the heart of Hong Kong, a short walk from the airport express station, MO typifies HK's many traditions and its East meets West character. Clipper Lounge where you meet people for tea - they serve delightful tea sets; Barber shop where the old elite go for a hair cut; Man Wah - one of the best Cantonese restaurants...

Been visiting Hong Kong quite often and this is the first time I have the opportunity to stay at Mandarin. I'm very impressed with the service level. The location is very near to Cental Mtr and Hong Kong station so going to airport express is a breeze (10 mins walk). The stay itself is really comfortable, as they provide Hermes...

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong remains our hotel of choice when we visit this great city. Before we left this year, friends told us to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel. For us, the spacious but intimate public rooms, elegant Asian art and furniture, and the extraordinary service keep us returning to this MO flagship. (If you want glitzy and ultra-contemporary,...

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
