My double room with pantry is nice and clean. With the good river view, I can always gain energy from the big sunshine and the romantic night view. This 230ft room is big enough for me with sufficient furniture such as big refrigerator for me to store frozen food, wardrobe and cabinet to keep my numerous clothes and shoes, large and portable desk for dining. The most appreciated place of the room is the size-fit pantry with one induction cooker and the cooking utensils they provided which is very convenient. And we can even borrow extra chairs for party use. Besides, the big bathing room and the king size bed really make me feel relax after the whole day work. For the hotel staffs, I really want to give a big thanks to all of them especially front desk reception ANSON and DANNY, and concierge staff ALAN. Anson is very kind and helpful. He always answer my question sincerely and with much patient. He is smart to handle all of the problems and solve them quickly. So he makes me feel relieved during these two months here. Danny is very nice, caring and always greet with smile. Even if he already provided help for the issue I concerned of my room before, he keeps follow up my issue by asking me whenever he meets me at lobby. This makes me feel very warm like home under good care. Also, his smile has big inspiration that makes me feel energetic too. Alan is very gentle. He always helps me to receive packages and transfer huge and heavy one to my room. Therefore, he protects me from being injured by lifting and shifting big boxes. For entertainment, the flexibility of this hotel is quite good to maintain their quality under limitation. Although the gym room and spa is closed under government’s issue, I can still cycling and relaxing in my room with indoor cycling machine and power tap provided for long stay customer. It is really sweet. And, actually the nearby cycling and running track beside the river are also a good choice to exercise and have fun too. To concluded, I am satisfied with the service and facilities of the Regal Riverside Hotel. It is highly recommended because of the home-like room, nice staffs and adequate facilities for entertainment :)

Check-in: Arrived at 2pm on Sunday and the front desk staff was helpful and gave clear instructions for my car parking on the basement. Yet a huge disappointment as we were told that the mini electric car driving for kids was not available due to some (technical?) problems. We were given complimentary vouchers for afternoon tea as compensation.
Carpark: Overnight parking (for 24hrs) HKD240 which is reasonable as you are allowed to leave and come back without additional charge (I didn't go out due to the rainy weather).
Room: The KMB-themed room with riverview is spacious and appears to be clean as I immediately found some stains on the KMB bus bed for one of my kids. The blanket on the same bed has an odd smell so I wonder if the cover has been properly washed...The crib we requested earlier on wasn't there but I understand that the staff must be very busy with all the staycation bookings and later the lady sending the crib was very friendly.
Air-conditioning and TV Remote: The temperature was fixed at 24.5 degree celsius and couldn't be adjusted. The TV remote not working in the evening. Been calling the front desk for like 15 minutes and no one ever picked up. That's definitely a big minus.
Dinner Buffet at L'Eau: the manager and staff were delightful and eager to help. The BBQ food were great.
Breakfast Buffet at L'Eau: same place but choices were very limited and the food quality was way below average. No cold drink apart from water for summer and the scramble egg was filled with water! Frankly I was not expecting this.
Checkout: smooth and quick.
For a hotel established in 1980s, Regal Riverside has been fairly well maintained and I personally enjoyed the riverview, but overall speaking it does have lots of possible improvements (service, food, etc). I would only recommend this hotel for people planning to visit the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Penfold Park and the famous Shatin Racecourse.

The room did smell damp or something and we used the nice smelling bath salts to counter this.
Only gripe we had was
- The Regal patisserie female staff could not answer a cake and asked me to choose something else which I found surprising since I have never had such a response in my life. Maybe it's best if the answer was stuck behind the cake name.
The staff was great especially when a girl kept making noise outside at 6.30am and security arrived promptly.

Wonderful staff who were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was also centrally located. Breakfast buffet was delicious! The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Yesterday my cousin had wedding event in it. We reached the main lobby on his big day. But no one Was there, no signboard nothing. We entered inside with confusion which side to go. At the same time we saw one of the staff passing through so we stopped him and asked him about the event. He said he doesn't know because they are having many events today. The lady from the counter who looked quite before said left side on the first floor. Thank you for your effort at least. Another disappointment, I asked juice for my aunt to the server but server didn’t understand what I said. And I didn’t understand what she said. I only knew how to say coke in Cantonese so I asked for coke, funnily she understood. I tried to ask English speaker but she refused to ask help her other colleagues so I guessed non of the staffs in banquet speak English, kind of sad. Me and one of my cousin were vegetarian. So we looked at the menu and most of the items were none vegetarian. So we said to the server not to place any plate or dish for us but I don't know what she said. She forcefully placed them. In some of the dishes, she event didn't bother to change dirty dishes. I got more disappointed when veg items came and she put the same serving cutlery from the previous dish which was chicken. In the end, before leaving the hotel I went to the wash and found there is no sanitizer liquid to wipe the toilet seat and all toilet peppers on the floor. If you are vegetarian I don't recommend go to this hotel, who knows they might be mixed with none-veg, especially if you are an English speaker. I definitely don't go and don't recommend this place.

We booked a free shuttle from the hotel to the airport. However, we had so many luggages. We called the front desk to help us to move the luggage from our rooms to the lobbies. Alan came up to help us. He was a nice, smart and easy going guy. He first used a cloth hanger to hold the door open and then loaded all our luggage to his cart. In our conversation, he knew that we booked the shuttle to the airport and helped us to load all our luggage to the shuttle bus. He is trustable and always keeps the smile on his face.

I came after 21days quarantine stay in other hotel. It was extremely stressful. Front desk lady was very considerated and offered me an early check in at 10am, I got upgrade to riverside view with big room without any charge.

Truly enjoy the vibe of this hotel! They got pool and sauna that make your stay extra enjoyable. They staff is polite and friendly and quality service. Rooms are spacious and can see a stunning pool view. The general environment is comfortable with a very reasonable price around the location. Perfect place to go for a sweet holiday.

My second time staying at this hotel. Conveniently located with lots of eateries and grocery stores nearby. Direct bus from the airport that drops you off right in front of the hotel. Check-in can be improved though. The staff who allocated a room to us was not aware that the room he had allocated to me was undergoing renovation! We had to drag our luggage and a 3-year old child all the way up to the room to find out we could not access the room and there was loud renovation noised coming from the room. We had to go back down again and explain the situation to the staff before we were allocated another room. Definitely not someting you want to put your weary guests through.

This was my second time staying in Regal Riverside. The hotel provides a great location and facilities for a family vacation. Located between two MTR stations and right next to a bus stop, facing the Shing Mun river promenade and surrounded by parks and restaurants, it is an ideal place to bring your family. With a swimming pool and a gym, there is something for everyone to do. The hotel restaurants are also great, though I wish they would accept other forms of payment besides Octopus and cash. The airport shuttle service is really convenient. For all the facilities, the fares are quite modest and many discounts can be availed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was discretely cleaned every day even when there was a small 30-minute window while we were out enjoying the pool. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hi this seems to be the hotel’s general policy on everything-all requests are dealt with on arrival. Do they have an email or even number you can call to ask about your specific situation? I suspect their answer would be they will make every effort but such things are guaranteed on check in but worth politely pushing back. Politeness is very important in Hong Kong (we lived there for 13 years).
