4.5/5 for Cleanliness. Toilet and beds were clean. No visible signs of dirt with the naked eye. 4.5/5 for Location. 5 mins walk to Wan Chai Station which is just a stop away from The Central interchange. Located around many decent pubs so you don't have to go to Lan Kwai Fong for drinks. 3/5 for Service. Front desk personnel...

We booked this hotel in advance through Agoda.com. It is located at the Wanchai area, very near the A11 (HKD 40 to/from the airport) bus stop and near Exit C of the MTR station. The hotel room (twin) was good for our family of four; had a private bath with a tub, which the kids enjoyed. The room is bigger...

I looked for a last minute hotel for a short business stay in Hong Kong. The Wharney Hotel provided me with a comfortable room in a most convenient location allowing me easy access to the MTR, great restaurants, and coffee shops. The airport shuttle service, among other amenities, was useful. The stay exceeded my expectations; the staff was extremely friendly,...

The receptionists were lovely and nice, I could find the right way out to my meeting venue in a minute with their helps. They even recommended...

The rooms are a bit small and most have no view but comfortable with coffee/tea facility and good wifi. We didn't use the pool but it looked great and check-in and out easy. The hotel is very well located being between the shopping area of Causeway Bay and Central in bar city and the convention center, plenty of restaurants and...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
