I checked in and out in under an hour. Disgusting room with wallpaper peeling and corridor smelling like pooh. Bedding was a funny grey color and there was some weird thing growing under the basin. We both started itching. Sure false advertising as the room looked nothing like the ad. The area not that kosher either. No sea view, just...

I booked 3 rooms for our family trip last May. Just like what others say about hotels in HK, the room is just small (good thing we are petite too :) ), wherein only 1 person can fit in the space going to the door/toilet. The breakfast is always the same every day but it's OK. Anyway, it's affordable and...

It is my first time travelling to hk, and staying at Silka seaview hotel for 3 nights is the best so far for me, I completely understand that there is a limited space in the country and the way they made the room so comfortable and efficient even though its a bit small for me Is definitely a plus. Stayed 4D3N at Silka Seaview hotel. Rooms are small but bed, shower & facilities e.g. Free wifi & tea & coffee are adequate. The location is great being next to Temple St & Yau Ma Tei MTR. Kowloon & HK island is full of life & very crowded. Winter is a good time to come because it's cool. I can't...

Rooms were small but ok since we just needed it for sleep. Recently renovated, though the bed was shaky and rather hard mattress. About 3 minutes walk to Yau Ma Tei MTR. Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
