Hotel is located nice spot. However, it’s a well-worn hotel with virtually no amenities r they don’t have a hotel pool or gymnasium that guest can use contracted out – hence you have to pay to use it. The rooms are very small as well. It’s very small such as New York City if not smaller. They definitely could upgrade these rooms they don’t look like they’ve been remodeled in at least 20 years perhaps some more USB ports and updating the bathroom. That’s my input.

I needed stay for two weeks after my corona quarantine. I found the price of this hotel in Agoda on sales. Good price for a large well lit room in Tsimshatsui. Clean but outdated decor which many hotels in hk are still using those dark wood furniture Fine for me
Not easy to come across a twenty mr room in that area.
The Kowloon peak nearby offer a nice airy place to exercise

I have just stayed at the Kimberley for 11 nights and have to say that it was very good. The room was certainly large enough for one person and had the all the necessary add ons - hair dryer, mini bar tea and coffee making facilities etc.

I would say, however, that there was a lack of cupoard space and that the bathroom was not the largest that I have ever seen. That being said, unless you are my wife or my daughter, you dont spend that much time in there !

One thing to note is that the elevator shafts were quite noisy, so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room down the hallway.

The Cascade bar was very comfortable and reasonably priced, in Happy Hour. The breakfast was exceptional value, but sadly the Honk Kong Hotels still allow smoking in restaurants - even tho there are seperate smoking and non smoking areas and at least the smoking area is not next to the food.

Location wise, the Kimberley is very convenient. It is close to the MTR and only about 15 mins walk to the Star Ferry. For the shoppers amongst you, the Miramar Shopping Mall is 2 mins away, Harbour City maybe 15.

All in all, I would recommend the Kimberely and would ceratinly say it represents good value for money

The staff at this hotel are excellent. Super chilled, they punch well above their weight in this price category. The rooms are large for the price which is important when you are stuck there so long.

Ofcourse the decor is not great, but size, price, and helpful staff are the key elements over a long stay like this.

Discovered this place after I dined at one of the restaurants in this hotel.
Went to the afternoon buffet but there were lots of people there because they were doing the group buy offer.
The food was average and cheap but it was gone within a few minutes.
They also had Haagen Daaz icecream and it was interesting to watch people take all the flavours back to their table and ask their friends/family to select the flavours they wanted and then bring back the unwanted flavours to the freezer.
The plates were gone in a flash too and every time a stack of plates were brought out, they were bloody hot to pick up!
The only item I found worth sharing was the jelly roll which reminded me of an Artic roll filled with icecream. It was nice they had a dessert that was different and the pairing of strawberry jelly and sponge tasted quite nice.

I’m sorry but this hotel needs some fixing and renovation. They charge big for a ruin down room. I don’t recommend it to anyone until they have renovate. Be careful of the booking pictures it was taken decades ago.

My room was smells like cigarettes, disgusting and the pillow has stains and smells horrible. The carpets are stained.

Not worth the price.

Pros … great location, staff very professional and efficient.
Cons … beds are rock hard, pillows are less than average, very soft, they look great until you lie on them. They have passed their “use by” date.

Hotel does not provide soap either, just a good surprise after having a long flight and you are dying to have a shower .. no soap. Great!! Although the room was very clean and well appointed.

Hotel does not do breakfast anymore. You need to find an outside restaurant if you want breakfast. I did not know this when I booked. I have stayed here a couple of times a few years ago when breakfast was available, but no longer. If I came back to HK again I would pick a different hotel.

Worst hotel to stay with a child. Housekeeping is the worst part. Need to ask for everything. They do not bother to visit your room for 2/3 days continuously. Room size is okay. Rough and old carpets. I do not recommend. There are plenty other options nearby for the same price. 2 stars for the room size only.

Located in a good place but the hotel is not good. OLD, Small rooms and not well maintained. Not very clean. Staff also was not very friendly. Paid a relatively high value and was not happy for what we got.

There are telecom booths at the airport such as smart and globe brands that you can rent. However, just for recommendation, choose smart. Globe services suck so bad. Poor signals.
