Great apartment with separate bedroom and kitchen/living room. The bathroom was not accessed from the bedroom but from the hallway instead. This is good because, with jet lag, one person might be sleeping and the other awake. The apartment was great and the staff were really helpful. Located in a very up-market residential neighbourhood but a bit far from the...

I extended my stay on this hotel for both over my stays there whilst in transit in Hong Kong. It's on the island and has the HK zoo directly opposite. You can watch the Harbour light show from the room and it's CLEAN, with carpeted floors!! Smoking is not allowed in the hotel so it's smells great and I felt...

I booked this hotel few weeks prior to our arrival and communicated with them via email. Yvonne Mak (reservations) was very accomodating and prompt to reply in any of the queries we had. We were even given future credits on the day that we were not able to stay inspite of the no show and no cancellation policy. They went...

Stayed here for five nights and paid a good price. Didn't use its restaurant but it does have a small supermarket which I suggest to avoid mini bar fees. The hotel is clean, modern and has fantastic views. I would stay again. My only gripe is that it is not a 'central' hotel as advertised but it is on the...

I was doing my thesis project when I booked this hotel. It is near the central and near the churches that I documented. If you love walking to/ from the hill, then this hotel is for you. If you are a nature-lover, you'll enjoy this place. No need to worry about the food because there is a supermarket behind the...

I stay in a lot of business hotels and this hotel is close to 5 star with a 2 star price tag. Lovely rooms, great views, free wifi, nice staff. Has a pool, gym and breakfast included. Plenty of restaurants in Coda Plaza next door.

The hotel is safe and clean. By HK standards it is also relatively inexpensive. The rooms are perfectly fine. By HK standards they are larger than average at that price. They could do with a bit of modernising but it doesn't ruin your stay unless you like to stay in the newest decor. Same with the pool. Nothing fancy but...

Not sure where the positive reviews are coming from. I am a regular Hong Kong and China traveller and booked this hotel based on reviews I read. I was very disappointed. Staff rather unfriendly and check in clerk approached me with a terrible smoke breath. The entire hotel in in dire need of renovation. The workout room is rather limited,...

We have experienced the worst customer service ever at this hotel. There is no porter to help with the luggage, asked for a taxi and they refused to help us and even told us to go outside and "shake our hands to take a taxi", we asked for a bed sheet and they said that they don't have. I will...

This was our second stay here and we will be visiting again next week. The rooms are clean and enormous by Hong Kong standards. The lobby lifts etc all nice an well maintained. The swimming pool was open this time, it had been closed on our last visit and was nice and refreshing in the heat of the day. The...

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
