What do you think of when you think of Hong Kong? The Peak, Soho, Nathan Road, The Jade Market? These are all Hong Kong attractions. But another side of Hong Kong is the Outlying Islands of which Cheung Chau is one. Just a 45 minute ferry ride from Hong Kong, it is here you will find The Warwick Hotel. On...

Warwick Hotel seemed the best pick since it appears to be the unique hotel on Cheung Chau. From the pictures, it looked new, spacey, elegant and pretty classy. Well, it isn't. Even though it prices like a 5-star hotels (2,200HKD+ per night), it feels more like a 1-star one. Start with the overall feeling: the website pics must have been...

Good thing I only booked for overnight stay in June 2015. One of the reason why I chose this over the B&B rooms is the swimming pool only to find out that the pool was not available for the whole month of June! No one told me that ( I talked to their staff at least twice before booking) and...

There is no denying that this is a terrible hotel! We paid about 200USD for one night. However, this was expected because we spent one night for the Cheung Chau Bun Festival. In fact, the poor hotel reviews soften the blow how bad this hotel really is As we stepped inside the room, we could smell cigarette smoke. The fridge...

I think some of the reviewers are a bit harsh about this place considering the price. It's not fancy, but It was only about $100 USD including breakfast for two and it's on the beach. It is only a short walk out of the busy touristy area of town, yet seems very quiet. The balcony of our room overlooked the...

Spent 3 nights here and found it to be very underwhelming and in need of an update. The rooms are very old and although, some updates have been done like the bathroom and the sliding doors to the balcony, which wouldn't seal properly and with the heating not producing any warm air made for a very cold night. No wifi...

I used to live on this island and have been using this hotel for a number of years since the 1980's. It's a beautiful spot and a lovely building and was once the best in the island however I am sorry to say this hotel is in need of a total overhaul. No wifi in the hotel rooms, swimming pool...

The Warwick hotel reminds of the days before they kicked the brits out, this isnt a bad thing it makes it quite nostalgic, drinking G&T,s on the balcony you can almost imagine yourself beating a line of coolies with your pace stick, happy times. the views are spectacular and when we arrived the sun came out on day 2 and...

I have visited the hotel twice. Although it was a bit old but the scenery was the best. Today is bad weather and very heavy rain in the morning . We stayed in a comfortable bed room and have good view through the bacolony. Then, we go to the beach within 3 minutes when the sun appeared. Lastly, we stay...
