What people usually do when visits Hong Kong??? Yes, you are right.... Shopping! And for half of you maybe sightseeing or playing around. For sure, you are not going to stay all day in the room!! That is why I suggest this hotel for you. It has a superb location just next to Jordan MTR Station. If you like walking,...

We choose Shamrock mainly because it is located just few steps away from one of the Jordan MTR station. The plus points are, the hotel is clean and comfortable, the hotel staff are friendly too. Also, Jordan is not as busy as Mongkok and Tsim Sha Tsui, so I personally prefer to stay in this area as other places still...

Our family of 3 (Wife, myself and child of 4 years) visited Hong Kong between 11th - 15th June 2014 and stayed at Shamrock for 2 nights. First thing about the Hotel that impressed was its location - right in the middle of a market (Kowloon) and adjoining the Jordan MTR station.MTR network in HK is well connected across and...

Because of the central location and the train station just next door, we never had to worry about reaching back to the hotel. So we could do our hong kong exploration with ease. Some good local eateries nearby. Very helpful staff. Overall fairly good value for money.

My overall experience was good, its a good clean hotel, very well located just next to Jordan MTR. Being so closed to MTR helped me a lot in daily travelling. Breakfast was good and had good number of choices. Being vegetarian normally i don't get too many choices in most hotels but they had great varieties. The negative of hotel...

I want to say thank you to Tracy, for being patient with our reservation inquiries... Hotel location is perfect.. Nearby restaurants, food chains, malls and the ladies market. We were a bit skeptical after reading some so so review but pleasantly surprised at Shamrock. The location is excellent, right next to Jordan MTR station on the famous Nathan street with lots of shops and restaurant, across the street from the mall. The room is small but decent for Hong Kong. For us, we complained about the A/C system...

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights with my family and overall I guess the place was okay, nothing too over the top special or extravagant. Exterior wise: I have to admit I thought the place was a bit small, (we're a family of six :P). The lobby was simple. The staff there are all very helpful and I...

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
