Hotel first impressions were good and room was clean.
We chose this hotel based upon its facilities with a view of using them however they were closed. If I knew about this before hand I would have booked a different hotel with a different provider....More

Dear Mr. Kirkham,
Thanks for your comment. For your information, by the guidance from HK Government, all outdoor swimming pools have to be closed when the Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. Unfortunately, the Warning had been issued by Hong Kong Observatory on 20 Jun at...More
Room is good, and the receptionists provided good services, very professionals. location close to shopping center, good for people who go to Hong Kong for shopping. A lot of restaurants around. overall, good for any traveler.
Very helpful staff.
On my short trip to Hong Kong from mainland China i booked a room in this particular hotel following my friend's advice. Here is a very important tip for non-Chinese nationals booking from ctrip.com - BEWARE BOOKING ROOMS FROM CHINESE LANHUAGE VERSION...More
This hotel is quite compact with small rooms, but is clean and has all required items. The beds are comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was very reasonable. Staff friendly and helpful. Perfectly adequate for a base whilst exploring Hong Kong.
The front desk staff were professional and efficient. I was shown to my room in a matter of minutes. The room was neat and clean, and I had a view overlooking Kowloon Bay, which was awesome. They even have a phone with mobile data that...More

This hotel is reasonable in price because it's very far from downtown. I did alert in my review but my review has been buried deep by new ones. You should book it knowing it's more than an hour by subway, it's 20 minutes by taxi, if you are okay with taking taxi for every trip. Hong Kong taxis are roughly the same price as Singapore. Don't expect Bangkok or KL taxi prices.

Average price of a meal is about US$10 unless you want to eat fast food then it might be lower. Hong Kong is not a cheap place. There are no open air kind of street food like food stalls you see in Southeast Asia nor is there an established food cart culture. Eating out is in restaurants. Food is of a very high standard, for not just the native southern Chinese style of cuisine (Cantonese cuisine) but also an array of cosmopolitan restaurants of very high standard (HK was the second Asian city after Tokyo to get its own Michelin guide 10 years ago- just one year after Tokyo and two years after the first US guide - NYC).
