Hotel is located 5-7 minutes walk from Wan Chai MTR. Very convenient. Design of hotel lobby is very modern with an ancient twist to it. Staff were very friendly and helpful too! Room is very spacious for two! I love how the basins (there are two in my room) are located outside the bathroom which allows simple washing up while...

I am reviewing from a point of privilege as I was upgraded upon arrival (meaning the room was very very spacious for HK and being on the top floor had amazing views), but this hotel is beautiful. Clean, nicely furnished, and the service provided by the hotel is second to none - they provide you with a free smartphone to...

I had tried many hotels in wan chai but this is absolute my favorite. Price and quality is perfect. Walking distance to the metro and exhibition center. They don't serve breakfast but opposite the hotel there is a small mall with a Délifrance and a Pacific Coffee Company! You can enjoy happy hour with free beers and wines and the...

From the time we arrived for check in, we were wowed by the human factor. Staff was warm, responsive and attentive. For instance we asked about seafood and they googled the place so that we could have a location map n make reservations. A huge plus was the upgrade to their 20th floor. Our jaw dropped when we found a...

V Wanchai 2 is a serviced apartment type hotel. Don't expect a posh lobby with concierge and porter or such. Like: The property is a nice place to stay, MTR and amenities is just walking distance. HALAL FOOD are 10 mins away, at Lockhart Rd and Islamic Ctr area. Free coffee / Tea daily, Wine on selected days. Dislike: There's...

Had a really good experience staying at v wanchai 2. I have to thank Jessica and her colleagues on the same shift for being efficient, polite and accomodating. There was this tiny hiccup when I first arrived. I had booked connecting rooms, but was told that one of the rooms will only be ready the next day. So for the...

Cool designed hotel, only stone-throw from Wanchai MRT. A room is quite small but comfortable and very well equipped. Note that the wall is not sound-proof though. We stayed at V Wanchai 2 in September 2013

In my view, the best place to stay in HK is the Wanchai area, and the V Hotel takes a lot of beating. I had an excellent top floor suite, enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the helpful staff on level 3. This was my 3rd stay at the V, and I will certainly be back.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
