My family and I stayed at this hotel four 3 nights during our stay in HK and we found it really nice -- clean, pleasant, homey. The staff are really kind, and we commend Mr. David, Ms. Agnes Yau and Ms. Rosanna who is a great guide for first time travellers (she is the contact person for Disneyland and Ocean...

Firstly the good things - The staff are very helpful and the rooms are fine. Clean and comfortable. The so-called "Free" wifi actually comes with a HK$12 daily "service charge" so it isn't entirely free, but HK$12 is very cheap so can't complain. The quality of the breakfast is good but there is limited choice. We also ate in the...

I've stayed in this hotel 5 times until today and most probably will be back again. Although there are - certainly - better hotels in Hong Kong, when you're here to work it offers some good advantages. It's proximity to the Convention Centre (shuttle service although walkable distance) to start with is a big one. You won't pay the premium...

My family and I recently stayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel for the first time. We made reservations online for a "family room" because the property seemed reasonably priced and well situated for Hong Kong. I am giving the property an overall 3 rating (average) even though 3.5 rating would be more accurate because I don't think the property deserves a...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your valuable feedbacks. First of all, it’s great to know that Cosmopolitan’s convenient location, friendly staff and good restaurant have all made your stay an enjoyable one. Stayed recently for 11 days and was a stay of two halves. General service, restaurant, were okay, but having upgraded to a deluxe room was somewhat let down by this perception of deluxe. Hardest bed I have ever slept in, wifi was spotty, and a deluxe room without a bath isn't my idea of deluxe. Doubtful I'll be back many...

Dear Howling, It’s great to know that you have enjoyed staying with us with our warm hospitality and good food at restaurants. While all our mattress is actually imported from the high quality brand Simmons, we hope you had chance to talk to our Guest Services Manager for an extra topper if a puffier bed was preferred. Same for the...

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel on a business trip. Special mention for Mr. Kane Ng the guest services manager a friendly and helpful person. The hotel has an excellent free shuttle service to Times Square running every half an hour or so. Overall a pleasant experience and I would recommend this nice hotel to anyone looking to...

This was the second time I stayed at Cosmopolitan Hong Kong. The rooms are large, the beds very comfortable, all the things you need (TV, desk, shampoo, etc.) and extremely good service at the front desk/concierge and valet. The breakfast buffet has everything you need, although it does not change much, and the dinners in the evening are well presented...

Dear Pulleyo, While Cosmopolitan is situated right between the city’s busiest districts Causeway Bay (for shopping) and Wan Chai (for business), we always aim to bring guests a sense of oasis for a good rest at night. Having said that, many of our guests have actually given us a thumb up on the array of localized shops and restaurants around...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
