Probably the worst place I've ever stayed, thank God there were only two nights!!! Vulgar and rude staff, the room was EXTREMELY small, surely less than six square meters (including "bathroom"!) for two people - CRAZY. It was equipped with window - when I opened there were only corridor betweend buildings outside, with a lot of dirty and smelly pipes,...

I stayed at this place a while back and it still stands out as one of my worst hostel experiences ever. I originally booked a 4 bed female dorm on hostelworld.com (because of the excellent reviews on there--I'll get to that in just a minute) but when I arrived I was put in a closet (no I'm not exaggerating) with...

Right, I've read the reviews and although most of them give opinions and winged a lot, I'm going to give you facts. Just facts.. The location is excellent. Right in the shopping area of Nathan Road, you don't get better. Yes, it's in the infamous ChungKing Mansion and there are plenty of touts. The hotel advise you of this and...

Everything you've read about the typical backpackers hostel: cheap, grotty, bare-as-nails and extremely seedy. Location-wise, fantastic. Right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui on Nathan road, right outside the Tsim Sha Tsui stop of the subway, Chungking Mansion is right in the thick of the Hong Kong bright lights. However, the attraction ends there. My sister and I were...

This place is disgusting. The Chungking mansions is a huge busy building with many other hostels inside it, there are 'touters'(people trying to sell you things and drag you to their hostels) all hanging around the entrance 24/7. We ignored them but were tricked into believing a guy who claimed to be from our hostel, he was friendly, not pushy...

I booked and paid for this accommodation through wotif.com before my trip, but I was told that I had to pay again when I arrived at this "hotel". Of course I refused to pay, and fortunately the staff found my name on the booking list eventually but he never apologized for the mistake. I also didn't like the way I...

For heaven sake dont book to stay with HOSTELHK. I prepaid my stay becase they offered a large discount. When i got there the room was so tiny that i could stand and strech my arms and both arms would be touching each walls. On top of that the bathroom is the size of peanut. They squash the toilet, sink...
