Very nice hotel. Rooms are nice, large and clean, with very nice furniture. Personal is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Beautiful view on Potala palace. If you are ever in Lhasa this hotel should be your number one priority.

After landing at the airport in Lhasa, I experienced extremely bad altitude sickness. Even though hotel employees spoke very little English (as in all of China) everyone I came in contact with at the hotel was extremely helpful. Upon entering, I was promptly helped to my room, oxygen tank supplied and every need was taken care of for me. I...

Be prepared for a cold lobby, also restaurant. Food is not in really great selection but I didn't expected too much in there. Myself and most of my company was sick with attitude sickness so eating wasn't our priority. Rooms are equipped with oxygen machines and after using oxygen every night, I could spend days visiting this exiting city and...

Where to begin.... First no smoking does not have any meaning in this hotel or all of China for the most part. Lobby FULL of cigarette smoke. Most employees stunk of smoke. Rooms old and in need of rehab, had to change my room because of smoke. There is oxygen available in each room, but they fill the bubbler with...

The entrance hall is freezing, so is the restaurant and it's true no-one except the gift shop man speaks English but this place is brilliant! And if you are going onwards to travel around Tibet get used to this because in our experience it doesn't get better. The view from our room was the best view of the Potala Palace anywhere....

My 5 night experience was way different than other reviews. 1. No hot water for 5 days 2. Breakfast food always cold and the same. There is an egg station that offers hot food. 3. There are no eating places near by with either English or pictures. 4. No one speaks English at the reception desk. 5. All floors are...

This is our first stay in Tibet and it is interesting! When you walk in the lobby first thing we noticed was it was cold! The staff were wearing winter type coats. They seem to only turn on the lights where necessary, not like us westerners lighting up everything! We found out they do not heat the hallways and lobby...

Stayed for 3 nites while on tour. Rooms are big, AC worked well, beds firm but good. Staff were very helpful and spoke english. Can exchange money at front desk. Breakfast buffet. Very eastern food items. Location is within 2.5km to potala palace and joking temple/bark hour street area. We walked took 20 minutes. Shopping mall and large grocery store...

Xin Ding Hotel offered a nice view of the Potola Palace. The bed was firm but comfortable. Free bottled water was provided. The buffet breakfast were good. The bad things about this hotel was that there was no wi-fi in the room and the wi-fi in the hotel's restaurant did not always work. And there isn't much to see walking...

I was here on a group tour and really enjoyed this hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted with tea and cookies by the Assistant Manager served in the bar area. The rooms were fine and my room on the 5th floor had a wonderful view of the Potala Palace. The Palace is particularly lovely when lit up at night. I...
