Hotel was nice. There are probably more fancy and expensive hotels in Lhasa but we really enjoyed the Dekang hotel. It is very close to the Barkhor street. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner and is good. Breakfast has a lot to choose from and was very much ok for us. Rooms had everything we needed. Wifi is free and...

The Dekang is a great hotel for visitors to Lhasa. There are more elegant and expensive hotels in Lhasa, but few that could provide such authentic sense of Tibetan culture and hospitality. The lobby is ornate, reflective of the decorations and imagery found inside Tibetan Buddhist temples. The Tibetan staff could not have been more friendly, accommodating, or efficient. The...

we stayed twice here, stay was good, breakfast was not so good and there was not much choice in vegetarian food. Lunch and dinner were good. Lobby was not so good, wifi was complimentary at lobby. Hotel made in tibetan style gave good look. Room service was not good. We found Ear-wig, or Forficula auricularis, L in our bathroom tub....

Comfy place and we enjoyed our stay here. It is in a great location to get about Lhasa's Old City. Overall great stay and would recommend this to anyone. It was nice to be welcomed with some juice and the staff speaks great English and helped us a lot.

The decoration in the lobby may look rather ornate, but room is comfortable snd cosy. Bathroom is clean and hot water is stable. The sheets are clean and room is very cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was very decent. Highly recommended. Couple of small tips- there is a small hole in the wall eatery to the left of the hotel...

The tour agent booked this hotel for us. For me, it is a beautiful (Tibetan style) and comfortable hotel in Lhasa. Though it is not right in the Barkhor street, it is just a short 5-10 mins walk there. (And just walk slowly on your first day to prevent Altitude Sickness). Potala Palace is about 20-30 minutes walk or you...

The good news and the bad news about this place is that it is a Tibetan hotel. The good news is that you are surrounded by Tibetan ambiance and hospitality. The bad news is that things do not work so well. I had a light that would not turn off, a room safe that did not work, and a toilet...
