We stayed in House of Shambala for 4 days. It is good value for the price you pay. Try to get the big room on the second floor as it is very spacious. The location couldn't be better as it is very close to the...More
Lovely hotel in the heart of Lhasa in the middle of the little streets of vendors and insense - close to sights as well.
Staff speaks English, is very kind and accomodating. The rooms are clean and decorated in a tradional tibetian style.

I'd say it was reasonably clean but not pristine. There's rugs and furnishings Etc that probably haven't been thoroughly cleaned. A dust allergy sufferer would probably find it less clean than they would like.
