Hotel. Facade creates wrong impression. Much better inside. Typical Tibetan decor quiirky And unique clean and bright. Nice coffee and breakfast. Dinner good garden area needs attention. Neglected grass bald. Rooms in new wing lovely.. TV Kettles underfloor heating but no be humidifiers so air too dry. Yes would stray again due to central location and close to all shops...

The Kyichu has a great location -- just a block away from Danjielin Road, the bustling street in the Tibetan Quarter leading to Barkhor Square. Happily, we also found it to be reasonably clean, well-lighted, and comfortable (with good beds and hot water in the shower). The garden is a pleasant retreat from the streets, and the lovely restaurant serves...

Stayed here with a booked tour in September 2016. Room was ground level, back wing (newer construction.) Bed was miserably bad: virtually no padding over springs. Shower sprays directly to bathroom floor with two drains but one was plugged and the other only partially draining. Water pools on floor and with the plugged drains the water is possibly contaminated by...

While things in Tibet may not be to the same level as other places in the world, this hotel is very nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Someone at the desk always spoke English well and were able to help as needed. We had some trouble with our shower leaking but they were able to move us to...

The rooms are very comfortable, and it is very close to the main attractions especially the Jokang Temple and the Portala Palace. Very friendly staff and shopping is nearby. The restaurant has...

We understood that it is a hotel serving thousands of guest since years so instead of new hotel we choose this hotel. Well infrastructure and amenities were little old but the way of treating guests and services were very classic which is not available in other place. A perfect hotel in the roof of world.

The hotel is centrally located, comfortable walking distance to the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. The room is generally clean. Water pressure for showering is also good. At night is definitely quiet, very good for sleep. They actually lock the main entrance to the hotel after certain hours at night, so it's pretty safe. There's a huge shopping center named...

I stayed in this hotel with a group and was pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. We stayed at the beginning and the end of our trip - five nights total. We ate breakfast there every day and had lunch and supper there several times...the food was good and the service was also very good. One thing to note...if...

Beautiful and well run Tibetan style hotel with lovely courtyard for hanging out at breakfast or days end. English speaking staff well acquainted with Westerners. You are met with a traditional Khata greeting. Hotel is situated near Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. Side streets take you through old Tibetan section of homes and businesses. Rooms are very nice with modern...
