We understood that it is a hotel serving thousands of guest since years so instead of new hotel we choose this hotel. Well infrastructure and amenities were little old but the way of treating guests and services were very classic which is not available in other place. A perfect hotel in the roof of world.

The hotel is centrally located, comfortable walking distance to the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. The room is generally clean. Water pressure for showering is also good. At night is definitely quiet, very good for sleep. They actually lock the main entrance to the hotel after certain hours at night, so it's pretty safe. There's a huge shopping center named...

I stayed in this hotel with a group and was pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. We stayed at the beginning and the end of our trip - five nights total. We ate breakfast there every day and had lunch and supper there several times...the food was good and the service was also very good. One thing to note...if...

Beautiful and well run Tibetan style hotel with lovely courtyard for hanging out at breakfast or days end. English speaking staff well acquainted with Westerners. You are met with a traditional Khata greeting. Hotel is situated near Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. Side streets take you through old Tibetan section of homes and businesses. Rooms are very nice with modern...

This hotel is quite well established for some time and well planed. It is situated one of main road. Most amenities are close by. Barkhour is approx seven minutes away.Hotel is busy as with tour groups. Old part is next to main road. Rooms are spacious but noisy from road traffic. New part are cleaner. Rooms are heated electrically underneath...

I have visited this hotel few times with my group and found it excellent. The service was good, food was great, excellent location and room was clean and big. All my groups were happy in every visit. Ofcourse they have some different rooms but the room we get each time was good conditions. I would surely recommend others and also...

This hotel has a lot of character and that helps blunt some of the rough edges. The hotel seems to be geared towards tour groups - or maybe that was just when we were there. At any rate, if you hit the breakfast buffet after the large groups, you are pretty much out of luck. Breakfast choices, if you were...

I stayed at this hotel recently for 8 days with a group of colleagues. We had visited Kyichu in early June, and were very taken up by theTibetan style furnishings, the very nice courtyard and the restaurant. We decided to stay here for our visit in early December. On arrival, we had a fairly quick check in in the hotel...

Our travel agent booked this hotel for us. While this would not be our choice (we prefer local flavor/traditional), we're quite happy with clean and spacious room with familiar comfort (western style) after many days of cold and dirty hotels in Kham region. It's about 15-20 minutes walk to Potala Palace and 7-10 minutes walk to Jokhang. Most of the...
