Stayed here with a fried whilst travelling around Indonesia, just want to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful, friendly staff at the hotel. They really are a credit not only to the hotel but to their country. This place has character, the beautiful courtyard was the perfect place to enjoy the wonderfully presented, delicious afternoon tea and...

Not that easy to find because of the small entrance but such a nice place. The rooms are beautiful and adjacent to the green courtyard. If you're there during tea time the super friendly staff gives you tea and a snack. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was nice! The guesthouse is located in a nice neighbourhood.

This guesthouse really surpassed our expectations. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and will serve a very good indonesian breakfast as well as an afternoon tea with snacks. The rooms are basic but very clean and the bathrooms definitely way above what you otherwise can get in indonesia. The hotel is arranged around a cute backyard full of flowers...

We stayed here for 4 nights. Room was very small and dark. The bathroom, although clean had a constant musty smell, hot water was a bit tricky to get to right temperature. Staff were wonderful, very attentive and helpful. You can help yourself to tea and coffee anytime and they provide rice with other "bits" for breakfast. When they realised...

We spent 4 nights at Kampoeng. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The cheaper rooms are basics but very comfortable and quiet. We had to share bathroom. They offer free Indonesian breakfast and afternoon tea with local food that is almost sufficient for dinner. Location was perfect but a bit far for Malioboro so we had to hire becacs...

I've stayed here two times because it's in a nice location, the staff is really nice, and they give you great service along with extras like afternoon tea and breakfast at a very reasonable price. It also has a lot of character. The downside would be that they put mothballs in the closet, but we discovered that if you bag...

The traditional decor with rooms set around a small garded is very nice. Also they offer a traditional breakfast which changes every day. A nice touch is the afternoon tea. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the shower was great. But the rooms are a bit dark and feel damp.

This place was a great find and amazing value for money. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the rooms clean and cosy. People who winge about the location are just lazy! It's a 15 walk to the Sultans Palace and located on a strip with lots of good and cheap restaurants. You can pay $1 to use other...

Suggested by the guides after arrival in Yogyakarta I go to the Prawirotaman area. Unfortunately choice of hostels there is not big, and those few good were full booked. From hostels I looked this was the best choice. The hostel is unique, even though it already demanding some repair, but has an interesting atmosphere (thanks to staff which is working...
