I stayed in a beach front cottage, so my rating might have been different if I stayed in a different cottage or in a room. Cottages are nice, clean and comfortable. Sunset views are gorgeous. In the morning breakfast is served to you at the cottage; real pleasure. The breakfast itself was tasty. I personally had to eat more than...

The hotel itself is very nice, located right on the beach - if you get a beach front cottage it would be worth it, but any of the other rooms are not as nice. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay, and you have a driver at your disposal to make it back to town at...

Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 nights, whilst being very basic we had an amazing time. We had a beach front facing cottage which is an absolute must for the sunsets, spectacular. The room was clean with everything you need. Breakfast was basic but still very nice. Staff are excellent and more than willing to help out with...

For the ease of reading, I will split my review into separate parts: HOTEL GROUNDS: The hotel is situated right on the beach. The resort is a lovely choice for those who want a back-to-basics vacation away from the hustle and bustle. It has a collection of cottages some facing the beach and some with gardens in the backdrop. I...

Excellent stay! 10 out of 10 for hospitality. The Owner Rose was extremely nice and all of the staff were fantastic, especially Marc. Location is 20 minutes walk from the centre of El Nido. We had the beachfront cottage and it was perfect. Great in comparison to a lot of other accommodation in El Nido. Wifi was okay, just very...

This place is away from town which gives it the quiet ambiance. The cottages are adequate: beds, air-condition, ceiling fan (for when there's a brown out), safe, etc. nothing fancy here. They do provide instant coffee and hot water carafe in the room. Accommodations include breakfast which can be served at your cottage veranda or at the outdoor dining room....

Overall I would have to stay the Golden Monkey Cottages are quite average. Although prices seem to be too high in El Nido anyway, this seemed more expensive than it was worth anyway (we paid around £65 per night, the same price can get you a 5* hotel in Puerto Princesa). I've summarised the general pros and cons below, but...

Stayed here with my wife for a few days and absolutely loved it. The room was great (Deluxe Sea View). Waking up and opening doors to Cadlao Island every morning was a dream. We hired a kayak and set off to Cadlao Island on a calm day and chilled on a few of the beaches before heading back. Private hire...

It is located 10 min walk from the town, so out of the loud noise, but there is no beach. Rooms are ok but you don't get the cleaning every day. Aircon is very noisy and we had the room next to the kitchen: no real sleeping because of the noise at every hour of day and night. Excursions and...
