First time in Palawan and the experience was more than I expected. The highlight of the trip, with the views and spectacular beaches and sites as a default, were the people. John, the owner in particular, was the best host i have ever met. You will read in most reviews here that he's a wonderful guy. Always readily available and...

We had the perfect stay. John and the rest of the team continuously went above and beyond for us. This was by far the best stay we had in the Philippines and the people really made it. They were so considerate and attentive during our stay, right down to the great recommendations and clear directions. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Nicolle,...

I have been in several travels in Europe, U.S, Southeast Asia, and Japan, either business and pleasure. But never I have experienced such a personalized, warm, hospitable, and heartfelt reception I and my family received from John and his wife, Jae (brother?), and the staff of this resort. From the time we entered their Caalan receiving office in downtown where...

staying there was really nice. the resort is a bit outside of town, which means that it is not noisy at night. it is a walking distance for about 10 - 15 minutes, but i would not recommend going at night, because of some stray dogs, which you can find everywhere in the whole country. one of the best thing...

John is simply the BEST. He's truly a stand-out guy who actually cares about his guests. As soon as you arrive in town, there's absolutely nothing you need to worry about - it's all taken care of. From your tricycle rides to & from town (included in your stay & so easy to use), to organized tours, to the delicious...

We had such a wonderful time at the Caalan Beach Resort and were so warmly welcomed by John and his family. The resort is not right in the center of town rather further down on the beach. The staff will bring you to and from the center of town whenever you desire via a trike. You can schedule tours to...

We stayed here for five nights in April, and we had an excellent stay. This is not a top-end resort, but it makes up for it by having a great atmosphere, wonderful staff and owners and being a great place to start your daily excursions out of El Nido. Boats run from the beach just in front, and there is...

We had a great time at Caalan Beach Resort. Our group of 7 stayed 2 nights in 2 of their courtyard rooms . Rooms were very spacious, very clean, very comfortable. It's definitely not a 5 star hotel, but their service rivals the best we've had anywhere. They have a great view of the islands, but you can't swim on...

Stayed there for five nights with my wife. Lovely place whose owners John and Bee (sp?) are so helpful in giving you tips on what to do and where to go. It is a small family run resort and they work so hard to make people happy which we appreciate a lot. The island tours they have leave right from...

El Nido already speaks for itself but staying in Caalan Beach Resort made the whole trip exceptional. John along with his family and staff made our stay as in we're relatives visiting. They arrange their own in house tours so the group is almost felt like a private one and since you tour with resort guests, you get to meet...
