Main issue with this property is that it warned us about two of their major facilities being unavailable only a week before our stay - mainly the use of their swimming pool due to renovations and access to Punta Bunga beach. With Boracay being very popular at this time of year, they very well knew we could not make alternative bookings and just had to lump it. They did not even have the decency to offer anything in return. This is pretty much lying and a poor way to run a business. Apart from this, non-existent service during breakfast was just annoying. I don't expect dining at the Ritz but an acknowledgement we exist would be nice (took me 15 minutes to get someone to take my order and that was through me getting out of my seat and chasing someone down). Food is actually quite nice but inexplicably, every time I tried to order something, I was usually told it wasn't available. Plug sockets with no power was the least of my problems. However, their shuttle to Puka Beach was efficient and a rare positive. I won't go through all my gripes and truth be told, if they just warned me prior to my booking the loss of their facilities, I would have been fine with it. Instead, I just feel cheated.

Our company held our teambuilding at Ecovillage Resort last October. We stayed there for 4 days (3 nights). Here are the things we appreciate about the venue: (1) Their early bird discount promo. Got a considerable discount because of this. (2) Their reservation officer, Jessa Sion, who was very accommodating and attentive to meeting our needs. She would respond immediately to my inquiries even months before our event. (3) Access to Puka Beach. The beach is so much quaint than the famous white beach especially in the morning. Ecovillage provides free shuttle service to the beach. (4) Basketball court - the only covered court in Boracay, I think. Some areas we wish could be improved: (1) The published pool is no longer available. (2) Construction was on-going when we went there. When there's construction, there's noise. (3) Food served is not that exceptional. I think their restaurant food is better than the food pre-arranged for the whole team. Note: The location is quite far from the famous white beach or where most of the shops are located. You will need to pay for the shuttle service if you are going to use it outside their drop-off/pick-up schedule. Or you will need to ride a tricycle outside which is not that readily available.

This hotel is located some kilometers North of the famous White beach - but this is not a disadvantage! The beach there is even much nicer! It's in direct neighbourhood to the expensive Shangri-la hotel. Attention: The hotel is on a mountain. To get to the wonderful beach, you need to walk down a steep path (and afterward up again). The rooms are very functional - not romantic or luxurious. A tricycle to THE famous commercialized white beach (night life) costs 150, a motorbike ride 100 Pesos.

Reception - not all were accommodating. Do not move the curtain or else, you will be filled with dust all over. CR not well lighted. Hallway are creepy at night since it is quite dark. Not to mention that its too far from the beauty of Boracay. No recommendable.
