This place is a chill basic place for a good price. We stayed here for 5 nights. It is simply so don't expect luxury. It was just our style. We enjoyed the construction of the bamboo bungalows. The hammocks and porches were a great place to enjoy the coffee and tea provide every morning. Melinda was very sweet during check...

This was one of the worst experiences in a hotel in my entire trip. Planned to stay here for a week but checked out after the first night. It does not look like they clean the rooms at all. I didn't expect it to be extremely clean, but it was FILTHY. I hope you like spiders. Avoid avoid avoid.

I am not usually one to write a negative review but my experience with Melinda's has prompted one. I arrived at the hotel after booking through agoda for 10 days. The facilities were not well maintained and my bungalow was filthy. The sheets and the towels for my room were stained and smelled musty. There was visible rust and mold...

We wanted to be away from the noisy part of the island. The hotel is perfect as it is, and the staff are so friendly, the owner Melinda is very accomodating and helpfull. We had a problem with our luggage and everybody in the hotel helped us a lot. There is no sea view but the huts itself are the...

See the photos and judge for yourself. I booked through agoda.com and was misled by the reviews which must have been written either by travellers who live on $1 a day (i.e. low(est)budget backpackers) or idealistic 1st time Asia visitors. This place was build in 1989 and has never been taken care of since. I guess even the TV tube...

On our arrival there was no recollection of our booking.the staff did not seem at all concerned.we then had to find somewhere in a foreign place at 8.30 pm not a good position to be left in.......my advice make sure they...

The location of Melinda's garden is great, only a few short steps to the beach and some great restaurants. Very quiet and green. The WIF was good. We had plenty of hot water in the shower but the water pressure was terrible. We were unable to watch any TV, the reading light was positioned at the other end of the...

LIKES: The hammock was our favourite! The staff were very helpful and attentive, although breakfast was not included in our room they provided a thermost of hot water everyday around 9am or so (which was still somehow hot at night) with 3-in-1 coffee sachets, the mosquito net around the bed was great to avoid bites (we only saw a couple...
