Celebrating my daughter's birthday overseas and stopping off in Singapore, Crowne Plaza hotel lived up to the "best airport hotel".
General Manager, Mr Greg Gubiani and the team have a strong customer focus, as he met us in person upon check in (and a few other times in the lobby)- a very warm welcome indeed. Having travelled the globe, I must say the customer service is outstanding and world class. Importantly when we arrived in our rooms (night time) the rooms were ready and Nick from Customer Relations has organised a Red Velvet birthday cake, snacks and drinks (and the following day a lolly jar with chocolate milk!)- a lovely touch to ensure my daughter's birthday had a special touch.
We stayed in 2 Premium rooms directly overlooking the runway. The views from this room were a dream for both young and older aviation-heads - seeing Singapore Airlines planes take off and land every other minute was a hoot. Just be mindful that travellers should expect that this view naturally comes with the noise of jet engines, which wasn't an issue for us.
The rooms were relatively spacious and more importantly very comfortable. The only slight quirk was one of the bathroom sliding door handles and separately shower door handles had come off, a minor inconvenience. There is a real tropical vibe in the hotel generally away from the busy lobby. A mandatory gym session to offset the gorging of food (located roughly above the lobby) revealed a modest yet adequate work out area and equipment in a well thought out work out space.
In between tropical downpours we had a chance to swim in the outdoor pool which was lovely - not everyday you get a chance to swim in the vast garden maze a shallow poor with views of the control tower. My family have a pool at home and they were still excited to swim and navigate through a pool with 'garden maze' , something you don't see everyday.
The location of the hotel is outstanding. If you are stopping off for a couple of days in Singapore and/or have an early/late flight this is the perfect hotel for it principally due to the convenient location in Terminal 3 - you are able to explore Changi (short walk to the Jewel / or Skytrain to other terminals, or a short walk to the food vendors downstairs, if you have kids try out the huge slides /rock climbing downstairs), or travel into Orchard Rd via Grab/Taxi/MRT.
We tried breakfast one morning downstairs at the bustling Allora restaurant and the variety of its offerings was very good. My personal favourite was the Indian station offering roti and dahl lentils a welcome change from the standard eggs. The kids loved the Nutella machine.
This is definitely the 'go to' hotel to stay at Changi for a short stop off. Don't think, just book it in and enjoy!

Arriving into Changi in the morning after a 13 hr flight from London , the convenience of this hotels proximity to the airport was greatly appreciated . A short walk from the terminal and you find yourself in the 5 star luxury of the Crowne Plaza Hotel . We had a one night stopover in Singapore with a following morning flight back to Perth and decided this hotel was a good option , cutting out taxis etc to and from the city for such a short stay . We had two interconnecting rooms booked for a family of 4 including 2 x kids in the Jewel wing of the hotel . As we arrived into Singapore early morning the hotel offered early check in to one of our rooms for an additional fee , this was pre arranged prior to our arrival . Unlike most other hotels this was not the total cost of another nights stay for the previous night in order to guarantee the early check in , it worked out roughly just under 50% of another nights stay but was well worth it particularly when the hotel gave us access to both rooms immediately on arrival in the morning . The rooms were very high standard, extremely spacious and truely 5 star offering panoramic views from the bathroom onto the connecting walkway from Changi to the Jewel shopping Mall and one of Changi's runways . The bathrooms were large and very well furbished , complete with a free standing bath , electric black out blinds and glass touch dimmer switch for additional privacy . Once again , no expense spared and 100% FIVE STAR . After a few hours sleep we ventured to the adjoining Jewel Shopping Mall complete with its own full size waterfall . As you would expect , this is most impressive and another example of all the exciting sights to see in Singapore and remarkable feats of engineering on offer in this City State . Plenty of dinning options here and of course shopping , there is even waterfall light shows in the evening however I did notice that compared to the malls in downtown Singapore the prices in a lot of the restaurants are significantly higher .
Getting back to the hotel, we spent sometime by the very impressive swimming pool . Large and very well designed with plenty of sunbathing areas , like everything else about this hotel the layout and quality is most impressive . We ventured into the mall at night to eat after first visiting the hotels " BAR 75 ", this is a stylish sports themed bar which offers a very generous happy hour . In hind sight we wish now we had stayed and dined in the hotel restaurant called Azur which I believe offers something in the margin of around 30% discount to hotel guests . Overall , this was a great way to end our trip , the hotel offers both convenience and luxury and we would definitely stay here again .

We elected to stay at Crowne Plaza Changi for one night to bridge our 18hr transit in Singapore. Our primary reason for choosing this hotel was location / convenience with the hotel being located within Changi airport. To this end, our inbound flight to Singapore arrived late at night (23:00) but we were able to clear immigration, collect our baggage and arrive at the hotel via skytrain all within 30 minutes of our plane landing. This was a godsend given we were travelling with a very tired 5yo up way past their bedtime.
Check-in upon arrival at the hotel was great. Nicolas warmly greeted us and confirmed the details of our stay. He enquired about our onward flight and upon hearing it was not until the following evening offered a complimentary late checkout which was sincerely appreciated. But Nicolas’ generosity didn’t stop there - he also offered a complimentary room upgrade (to a suite!) which he described as giving us “a little more room”.
When we arrived in our room it was huge and appointed with all the luxuries you would expect from a top quality hotel. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom incredibly spacious and there was even a second toilet.
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. We also loved that the restaurant staff were all very kind in engaging with our 5yo. We didn’t use the hotel pool but it did look very inviting when we walked past after breakfast.
All in all we had a great stay at Crowne Plaza Changi and would have no hesitation returning to this hotel for any future transits via Singapore.

Very nicely situated in the middle of a green little oasis is the outdoor pool of the hotel. My two-night Changi Airport stay at the Crowne Plaza delivered in comfort and customer service.
- Location: The hotel is directly attached to Terminal 3, making layovers and quick sleeps highly convenient for airport travelers. Signage inside the airport, though, is almost nonexistent. Be prepared to get lost and turned around if you’re unfamiliar with Changi and/or in a different terminal upon arrival, or else ask someone more knowledgeable.
- Atmosphere: The lobby is open and inviting, albeit dark and classy-feeling. This is a higher-end place to stay, after all. Now, Singapore is HOT, right…so why they would opt for open-air hallways is sort of a mystery to me; the fresh air may have been nice at first, but it got hot quickly while waiting for the elevators and entering/exiting my room. The elevators also were not air-conditioned, and they always felt like a sauna.
- Room: The first night put me in a basic room facing the street, the next night a runway view room after a 60 SGD upgrade (which I thought was a bargain for the type of hotel and the perks of watching planes). Both rooms were contemporary and comfortable. Rooms here are not double-paned, so you will hear noise…it wasn’t terrible per my standards, but I would’ve liked it quieter.
- Service: I only interacted with the utmost friendly employees during my stay. Thanks for the fantastic hospitality!
- Amenities: This isn’t your average, run-uh-the-mill Hampton Inn airport hotel…find on-site an upscale restaurant, spa, gym/fitness center, outdoor pool, meeting rooms, a bridal gallery, and more. I realized throughout my Asia trip that Asians really do prefer warm or even hot water lots of the time, but as an American tourist, I kinda expected some nice, cold water to combat the humidity.
- Value: The price of a room at this Crowne Plaza doesn’t come cheap, but if you can catch a good deal (like I sort of did), it may be worth the convenience and comfort. The cleanest place I've ever been. The moment you enter it smells so good,the room was chilly and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfy, the shower and bathtub works great (a little low pressure in the shower), distilled water drinking water in the room. The staff were approachable and helpful. Hans at the concierge desk went above and beyond his duties and Raymond in the IHG club lounge was extremely helpful and friendly. All staff at Crowne Plaza were professional and helpful. We Will always stay here when in Changi.

I stayed here for one night in August 2024. The hotel is well located for the airport with an entrance (signposted and fairly easy to find) right off Terminal 3 very close to the entrance to the Jewel. You don't even need to go outside.
The hotel is very modern, elegant, clean, and quiet. It was hard to believe that I was at an airport as there was no noise at all.
The room was very large, with all the usual amenities. However, a coffee machine would have been nicer than the simple jug. It was also a bit complicated working out how to operate the TV. Most channels were in English or Asian languages. Given that Singapore is an international crossroads, channels in other common languages would have been useful.
The hotel has its own restaurant, but you'll never go hungry as there are plenty of eating places in the airport terminals, while the adjacent building housing the Jewel is more or less one big shopping centre with plenty of eating outlets.
The hotel was slightly expensive but, given that it's within the airport, it's worth paying for it if you're looking for convenience.

We booked the hotel for an overnight stay before our subsequent cruise. It is located very close to Terminal 2 and is only a short walk from the baggage carousel to the reception. Booking through the IHG Rewards Club group was a little cheaper and the online check-in in advance made the process very quick and efficient. I had hoped that a bellboy would take our luggage, but unfortunately we had to carry it ourselves. The hotel is of a standard and very clean. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you would expect. The bathroom, which is separated from the sleeping area by a glass wall, is large enough and has a bathtub and shower. The aircraft noise during the night was bearable. The beds were not exceptional but of very good quality. The pool area is particularly worth mentioning with its pleasant atmosphere and the many plants that are perfect for relaxing. It is also recommended to visit the nearby green oasis "The Jewel" at Terminal 1. There you will find 280 shops and restaurants as well as an impressive waterfall, which is accompanied by a music show every hour.

As my flight arrived at 1:00am day One and the next flight left at 6:00 am day Two, I spent about 24 hours at the hotel but must pay for two nights. I asked if there is a half day rate for day One but the reservation department of the hotel said there is none, The hotel room is modern and spacious. Bathroom has both shower and tub. The room is well insulated, you cannot hear outside noise at all. A few issues I noticed 1) WIFI connection dropped off intermittently 2) As the bottle of body wash is locked down and no soap bar provided, it was hard to wash If you want to take a bath in the tub as no reachable soap or body wash nearby. 3) the hallway is opened to the weather so when it rains, the floor is wet and slippery, bad when there is not much light in the hallway.

After 18 hours of plane travel, walking into the air conditioned lobby of the Crowne Plaza in Singapore’s Changi Airport is the best feeling in the world. The common areas were spotless, even in the late evening hours of our arrival. Our pool access room on the third level had everything we needed, including best of all a comfortable bed and a sleek, modern bathroom complete with a stand alone tub. The next morning, before we checked out and had to catch our flight in Terminal One, we had an excellent breakfast at the Club Lounge. There, you can have made to order eggs, a breakfast buffet of western and Asian options, and a high quality fresh fruit juices and coffee. What’s not to love about a hotel which is so comfortable that it leaves you rejuvenated and ready to take on the rest of your travels?

I’m a non smoker so I didn’t pay much attention. I do remember being annoyed by smoke while waiting for a taxi at MBS, so there must be places where people do it.
Depending on your time of arrival, yes, they have a cocktail hour from around 17:30 until 19:30 (as I recall) and plenty of snacks including excellent pizza and deserts available during those hours, with soft drinks and tea coffee available after that.
There are more places to choose from in the Singapore area.
