When I got the chance to book a ticket for Coldplay Concert in Singapore for March 31, 2017, I searched for the best hotels to stay near National Stadium. And Regin Hotel is very reliable with places to eat on Sims Avenue, 10min train transportation on Kallang Station and the most important is near the Stadium. I had a twin...

This hotel is not flashy but has air con and comfortable beds. The front of house were helpful and kept on giving me water bottles. The rooms are small and little space around the bed. The shower worked.

I have never stayed hotel like this before. that much of bad people, bath room, no luggage room. Old staff keen on money. I came to the hotel little early since I've booked prior room but they had the vecated room but they ask $30/- for 2 hours early stay.

We booked on line for a budget hotel. We booked the deluxe room. The room itself was small, smelled of cigarette smoke and we asked to see their other rooms. What we found was more of the same but with additional cockroaches. We asked for a refund which turned into a 20 minute argument with the manager who refused to pay....

This hotel needs a renovation big time. It looks fine from the outside, but it looks much less appealing once you checked in. The hotel room is worse than the rating, I think. I don't like the bathroom because there is no shower curtain to separate the toilet seat and the shower. Once you showered, you will get the whole...

Hotel has bugs on beds and ants crawling on walls. Strong damp smell from all rooms. The manager knows of all this but is not doing anything to improve it. They place moth balls in the cupboards to keep bugs and smell away. I have reported my bad experience to the Singapore tourism board. Hotel is not in a nice area....

Not so far from Changi Airport. A good walk from Kallang MRT, not a problem except when it's rain. No worries, 2 dollars umbrella is up for sale at 7-eleven in the station. Now about the hotel. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Wifi connection was fast. TV channel were good. Rooms were spacious and clean. Aircond was good and...

We stayed there last June 2015 with 2 of my friends and colleagues. It was a little far from the city center but it was really good that it was near a train station. The taxi driver told us that it was near the sort of Red light district but other than that location was good. The staff were very...

Nice budget hotel 10 mins walk from the MRT. It's not a luxury hotel by any means but you definitely get what you pay for. The rooms are clean and the bed was okay just a bit hard. I only stayed here 3 nights so all I wanted was a bed and bathroom and it was fine. Shame I didn't...

Staying in Geylang

Neighbourhood Profile
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city centre, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colourful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
