We had a wonderful stay here the club hotel. My son loves the feel at home ambiance and the sheets and rugs are very clean. I would know bec my nose are very sensitive to dust and dirt. The location is close to maxwell hawker and chinatown.

I was attending my colleague birthday in her room. The room was dirty. I understand that it is a heritage building. But oh man!! the windows are falling apart.. the paints on the walls are peeling off. i think I saw termites and its nest!!!! this is unacceptable! While waiting for my colleague to fetch us up to her room,...

Overall a great hotel. Lively location but none of the street noise seeped through to the rooms so best of both worlds. Good mix of restaurants and bars on the premises. Only two opportunities for refinement were: 1) breakfast included package was a little inflexible (i.e. can't have two small items such as fruit and a roll that cost half...

Stayed Friday and Saturday night which is party night at the nearby Clubs and the road is closed off to allow patrons street access so there is some noise those nights. However, the location near Chinatown, extremely good staff and the great little rooms made up for the noise. The rooms are small but have been very cleverly and very...

Location was fantastic. Very near China Town and very close to one of the better Hawker Centres. Hotel has something for everyone. Lovely rooms. nice restaurant. Nice Bar and even a Night Club in the basement, although you cannot hear noise from your room. Other Bars and restaurants in the street too if you didnt want to go into town.

Wonderful place to stay close to Chinatown district, Maxwell food markets and fantastic restaurants and bars. The hotel has breakfast included as well as a Handy Phone which has maps, tourist guides, browsing as well as local and international calls included. (There are conditions for some countries so check before booking). We found this phone and its services very helpful....

Its a nice hotel with just right location. Quite a number of little fantastic restaurants and rooftop bars nearby. Local eateries are also around that area. If you like Hainan Chicken rice, the one in Maxwell Hawker food centre is only a few minutes walk, just turn left from the the hotel front door all way down. The nearest MRT...

The Club offers very comfortable rooms, excellent room service & terrific breakfast in a part of Chinatown which offers many bars, restaurants etc, away from the tacky street market usually associated with Chinatowns around the world - but expect to pay a premium for all this.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
