I was very skeptical in booking this room because of varied travellers experiences esp. about open bathroom experience. I got myself a standard room with window (upon request) and probably I got the best room (Room 403). It was on a higher floor with a life size window and uninteruppted view though there was nothing great about the view but...

A terrible experience, no windows in my standard room, the bathroom inside the room and what else? I don't mind to have free minibar if I cannot even have room to drink...the breakfast was so and so! Location is quite good, near to Little India and Bugis.

Worst thing about our 5 day stay was waking up in time for breakfast. Most comfortable bed ever, and a respectable hot and cold buffet breakfast. Breakfast room only filled up once quite late in the morning, in the time we stayed. But breakfast hours are 6.30am to 10.30am: so not a problem really. Tips: - Air conditioning in the...

Moon is a modern hotel with a cool design. I stayed at the executive room, which is supposed to be larger than standard ones but the space was really limited- even for a solo traveller like myself. There is no closet and you only have two hangers for your clothes. The bathroom has a great shower but no curtain, so...

We were really pleased with our 2 nights at Moon. It's good value for Singapore and they are very generous with the happy hour, mini bar and breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small, but that's expected in Singapore, and well designed. The bed is so comfy it was hard to leave! The only bad thing could...

We booked this hotel for a one night transit stop. We arrived just as complimentary happy hour was starting and we partook of the five free drinks per room. What a lovely way to start the stay! We had one of the window rooms. While everything was of good quality and there were plenty of extras (tea, coffee, safe, lots...

Checked in on a Thursday night to be greeted with a mix of the stench of cheap overpowering air-freshener in the foyer and a surly guy at the front desk. That's ok, I wasn't planning on spending much time at the foyer any way. Headed off to the allocated room on the fifth floor. The corridor smelled like what I'd...

A somewhat quirky hotel. The standard rooms do not have windows. The bed & linen are top class, the staff are fantastic & nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel provides free breakfast, free wi-fi, a free minibar and free cocktails between 5pm and 7 pm each evening. It is located close to 2 MRT stations. I will...

Turning up here for one short night, I was initially disposed not to like the place much. Cool reception at reception, a windowless room next to the lift and the room smelt damp and musty when I went in. Still, the air con freshened up the room which had everything one might need - good bed, excellent shower, nice TV/free...

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
