The hostel has a beautiful common area, the staff are amazing, exceptionally helpful and friendly and it is in a fantastic area of China town, close to the metro to get around the city too! Having booked a 4 bed dorm, like many other reviews, I was then given a capsule, which was clean enough and contained a TV, locker...

Since we were a family of 8, we had the whole room for ourselves. Although I was expecting for a common T&B, I did not expect it to be located outside the rooms. Unfortunately, only one shower is available upstairs but i think they will be installing a shower in the comfort room beside it. Moreover, there are available T&B...

The 2 months stay was perfect except sometimes you heard the yelling sounds of the foreign cleaner lady at the premises' lobby or over the hostel Skype links with their sister hostel on the same road. In first incident this lady actually put words in others mouth shouted loudly on us in the lobby that we have left food in...

I and my friend booked the hostel 4 months in advance. Several days before we went there, they contacted us to reconfirm and asked what time we will arrive. It seems all was in place. On the day we arrive, Desmond-the hostel guy said that there's some problems in the booking and we were transfered (forcely, because we have no...

Overall I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel, but this being said, apparently this hostel actually contains of two different places (not far from each other though!) I checked in at the Bohemian Chic and they sent me over to the Chic Capsule Hotel. They told me I got an upgrade, which is great and I really did enjoy...

Great location: situated on Mosque Street in Chinatown. A great base for seeing the city. The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, the Sri Mariamman Temple, Maxwell Road Hawker Centre and Club Street are all walkable within 5 minutes. The Chinatown MRT is also a short walk and provides great links to Singapore's other attractions (Bay front, Arab Street/Haji Lane etc). Accommodation:...

Arrived at 11pm but staff are smilling, helping on and guide me on transportation. They make the guest felt supported during the stay. Staffs even help me to upgrade my stay to capsule hotel, and the TV is superb for me. I enjoyed that a lot! 5 stars!

Stayed here with a friend for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. It is in a great location right next to the mrt and is very clean and the curtains are a nice touch giving some privacy. The only reason I'm given it 4 stars was the free breakfast was pretty terrible and I would give it a miss.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
