We had a wonderful stay in the Bohemian Chic, the staff couldn't have been more helpful with everything, letting us know where to visit and how to get there. The pod beds were really comfy and had a blind so you could have privacy as well. Would definitely stay here again! :)

I've stayed at 6 different hostels in the past 5 weeks, and the Bohemian Chic in Singapore was hands down the best experience of them all. I do not remember the young man's name who was working there the whole time, but he was extremely generous and his service was great. He showed us all the great spots to hit... More

The place is simple, ideal for backpackers/solo traveler. It's situated in downtown Singapore. Accessible for shopping/souvenirs/restaurants and almost to any points in SG via MRT or Bus. + Location + accommodating staff (Desmond) + peaceful Personally, I don't have negative comments but maybe a suggestion. This hostel has to have shampoo or conditioner in their bathrooms. But overall, it was... More

We spent two nights at the hostel, and I would have easily extended if possible. To start, we showed up 3 hours early to check-in in hopes of ditching our bags. Not only was that totally fine, but the staff was so friendly and helpful and even took care of payment and everything so that when we got back all... More

Friendly staff and guest. They will make sure you have a comfortable and pleasant time. Safe. Everything is literally walking distance, like a block away, as far as shops, bars, Chinatown, plaza and eateries. I came here for 1 night, solo traveler and wished i could stay longer. You will definitely meet other travelers here. No complaints about this place.

Location is very central and even great according to local friends, room/bed is very private, even being in a shared room, very helpful and friendly staff and price is good. Would definitely recommend. One of the better hostels I've stayed in!

Upon arriving we were immediately served with a local 'mazipan' infused tea drink...a welcome change I might like to add! The hostel is conveniently located within Chinatown and its notorious street eats just around the corner as well as easy access to the MRT. You are literally spoilt for choice! At the time, I hadn't planned my trip to Singapore,... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
