Affordably priced hostel with clean beds, good showers and polite staff. Love the free internet at the attic. Location is great with fast access to the MRT. Definitely my top pick if I drop by again.

Very nice hostel. Overall clean and well maintained. Very cheap, very central, well situated, right next to a metro station. Staff is super nice and super helpful. It can get a bit crowded, though. I was in a dormitory with 6 beds and it was quite cramped. Fortunately the other guest were quite respectful, so we were not too disturbed...

Well it wouldn't be the worst hostel experience. It looked like a cool funky hip place to stay at. They offer cozy cubicle showers downstairs. Upstairs they offer toilets with showers in them. Some people obviously don't mind, but I'd prefer to not touch the toilet whilst im having the shower. Toilet+shower room. Very.Small. In the 'attic' they had a...

this was my first hostel experience - and it was a good one! i travelled with 3 of my pals, and we stayed in the 4 bed private room (3rd floor). though situated on the 3rd floor, walking up the stairs wasnt too much of a chore. when we entered the room has a musky smell, though thankfully it had...

I have stayed in three Singapore hostels so far and this one was the best for me. I loved the location: only a few mins walk to the Chinatown MRT. Within walking distance is: Chinatown, Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, and a bit further up, Marina Bay. Food outlets were plentiful within reach, and you MUST find Maxwell Food Centre a...

Small and cosy, not noisy (people), free toast for breakfast, very friendly staff (from smiley receptionist to this guy who helped me carrying my very heavy bag up to 2nd floor!!). On the top floor, books to read, computer for free internet (even if I had my laptop: good Wi-Fi!), TV with movie and, the must: a massage sofa!! Great...

The hostel was in a great location - just around the corner from Chinatown's MRT. Having booked in for different dates and arriving earlier, the staff were able to accommodate us for 1 night in a 4-bed dorm - though they said this was private so we had to fork out for the whole room. This was expensive - whilst...

It was my first time to stay in a hostel. I was very hesitant, as I didn't know what to expect but reviews from Trip Advisor made me give it a go. It was a block away from the nearest MRT station ( Chinatown ), with restaurants and commercial establishments around it ( a pub nearby ). Mind you, Chinatown...

Dear guest, thank you for staying with us & taking time to write us a review. We are honoured that you have chosen to stay with us for your first experience in a hostel. Indeed, a hostel experience is different from a hotel stay. A hostel stay more closely resembles a home-stay. In our hostel, we have implemented a shoe-free...

Great place to stay. Impeccably clean and modern. Good location, really close to MRT station. Noise isn't a problem even though it' in the middle of Chinatown. Great facilities, free internet access. Staff friendly and helpful. Really nice lounge and kitchen areas. We don't normally stay in dorms but found this place excellent. Worth every cent.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
