pros - good location, if you are looking to stay in the center of chinatown/near MRT station - friendly staff cons - room and toilet smelled like old sewage - very noisy early in the morning (people fighting in the streets, garbage trucks) - very small, too small like a prison - old & smelly carpet - not as nice...

In the heart of chinatown, you can easily access any major points in SG via 200m walk to MRT station. Room is worth the money, as u can only expect a comfy bed for your night while u go out the rest of the day. Bed and pillow r great and comfy. Stylish room interior. Final word : recommended

We stayed in the theme suite. The room needs a good touch up of paint and some putty to get rid of some dents. There are no windows in this room, except for a skylight in the roof which you won't notice till the morning (so please take an eye mask if you do not want to be disturbed by...

Ecellent location and not bad for the price. Unfortunatley our stay was ruined by the disappearance of my shoes from the room. I had to wear flip flops to the airport! Checked with housekeeping and the front desk didn't show any concern. I obviously hadn't left them outside anywhere!

The hotel is very well located, close to Chinatown station, and one of those cheap little food halls (hawkers) is 2 minutes walk away, so I ate at almost every meal there. So good! My room was small but clean and well laid out, so perfect for my needs. Good sized bathroom though, and plush. Comfortable single bed and air...

If you are going to book at this hotel you will know from the many reviews below that the rooms are small. You will also know that many book this hotel because of the location. There is no reason to rate this hotel down for small rooms when people know they are small. Our room was great for what we...

Have upgraded to their suite room and it was surprisingly very spacious! Loved the whole look and feel of the suite room. Service was good too! Will definitely promote this hotel to Travellers whom wanna stay in an unique hotel and at a reasonable price. There are quite a number of restaurants within its vicinity.

Was booked by my colleague for a training in Singapore. Budget was the decision point and of course it's only when I checked that I realized the rooms were so small ! 8sqm !! I quickly upgraded myself paying an extra 30SGD per night to get a 25sqm room. There is no desk as such so you cannot work. Windows...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
