Always a great stay at Village Katong, they do an amazing job! Close to the airport, shops, local food and amazing staff (Jamel the bellman & Joelle at the front desk) Make the choice, you won't be disappointed.

Great location for staycation with the East Coast Park nearby. Staff is friendly and adds personal touch to their service, making it a memorable experience with the hotel. The rooms are as shown in the pics, spacious and clean. Highly recommended and definitely will come back for another staycation!

We stayed one night pre-cruise. Great value for money. Handy airport shuttle. Professional and efficient check-in. Room was clean. Minimal furnishings. Plenty of space to lay out luggage. Lots of desk space and power points. Modern bathroom with nice toiletries provided (no hair conditioner, but toothbrushes available). This was an interconnecting room and we could clearly hear the conversation from... More

I would reccommend this property for those who are looking for an affordable hotel for staycation. Quiet neighbourhood that is different from most places in singapore. A few shopping malls nearby. Many food options and even a cinema close by.

Through a great buddy from Down Under recommended us to stay at this establishment. Love it once we found out how convenient to find food till late hours and convenient shops. Down side is no MRT station nearby. Concierge is so friendly and helpful.

I just returned from a one-night stay. Glad it was just 1 night cos it is probably the most disappointing stay i ever had in spore. Upon check-in, found the room had a damp smell, balcony was completely old, even the balcony sliding door was old. The room had a rundown feel, and trays that hold coffee cups, instant coffee... Staying in Joo Chiat

Neighbourhood Profile
Joo Chiat
The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighbourhood is packed with colourful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding. Visit Joo Chiat to take a break from the big city sights and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a laid-back and local vibe.
