Located in the Arab Street and Kampong Glam enclave, and a mere stone’s throw away from Bugis Village and Little India, Village Hotel Bugis is at the crossroads of Singapore’s Arab, Peranakan and Indian enclaves. These multicultural and multinational influences are seen in the Indian, Chinese and international cuisines at the hotel’s three dining options.Guests can explore the side streets of Kampong Glam, Bugis Village and Haji Lane, which have small boutique outlets stocked with fashion labels otherwise not found in the Singapore malls. They can also indulge in a shopping spree at the Bugis Junction and Bugis+ shopping centres. The Bugis MRT station, which is just a 5-minute walk away, connects guests to the Orchard shopping belt or the Central Business Districts of City Hall or Raffles City.Besides its location, Village Hotel Bugis' key selling point is its spacious rooms, which start from 32sqm for its entry level Superior Room to up to a generous 64sqm for its Executive Club Suite.

Hotel was in a good location within walking distance to Bugis MRT station and the Arab section of Singapore. This meant there was plenty to see close to the hotel as eating options. For the hotel itself, all staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Parts of the hotel are showing age but the rooms themself were clean and comfortable. Wifi was strong with good water pressure in the bathroom as well as a good hot water system. Glasses were provided as well as a glass water flask as tap water is safe to drink. I would place the flask in the small bar fridge to keep it cold. I booked this hotel based on price and think it was good value. Bedding was comfortable and gowns plus slippers were available inside the room. A good overall experience at this property.

Stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions within 10 days. This hotel is old, but it makes up for it by its location. Very well placed to take the MRT a short distance away. It is also attached to a mall with some shopping available. There are literally tons of places to eat a short distance away. This area is steeped in history.
The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and adequate but somewhat dated.
The staff were extremely helpful. Shobna was really helpful.
We ate at Tabboush the Middle Eastern restaurant at the hotel. The food was very good and there was even live singers and music.
There are ample opportunities to explore the area and stumble upon delightful eating spots.
Would I stay here, absolutely. Stayed twice here, the 3rd visit to Singapore, I booked another hotel( disappointing) as I couldn't get a reservation here.

Have just spent the past 12 nights staying at this hotel and enjoyed the experience immensely. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel over the past 4 years and whilst the hotel itself is now becoming a bit dated with it's decor, it makes up for it with it's large spacious rooms, enormous comfortable bed, and pleasant service staff. The ease of access to the Bugis Junction MRT and shopping complex (around 2 to 300m) is a big plus for us. Check in and check out were hassle free, obtaining a taxi from the concierge was extremely easy and prompt, with breakfast daily at the Landmark restaurant which was delicious and plentiful with numerous dishes to choose from. We would also like to thank Dila and the other breakfast staff for their professionalism and assistance provided whilst we were using this service. Another person who does an awesome job, was our room attendant Chun who was extremely pleasant, helpful and always smiling when we interacted with her, with nothing to much trouble or inconvenient for her. Thankyou for making our stay a great one.

Pension very well located, in the Arab district.
Very good value for Award for Singapore.

Clean and spacious room for 04 people.
Provision of a safe and mini fridge.
Soundproofing is good.

Breakfast is served buffet style with plenty of choices, vegetarian, Asian, continental.

The pool is open until 20:00, with towels provided on site.

The nearest MRT station is BUGIS, less than 5 minutes walk with many shops and restaurants.

In less than 40 minutes you are at the airport!
Little India is about 10/15 minutes walk away, you will eat deliciously well and for not at all cheap!

Our 3-night stay at Village Hotel Bugis by Far East Hospitality was a delightful experience. The room offered a stunning cityscape view, providing a picturesque backdrop to our stay.

The hotel's prime location was a standout feature, with an MRT station nearby and plenty of dining and shopping options within close proximity. Exploring, shopping, and enjoying the culinary delights of Singapore was effortless and truly enjoyable.

While some of the room's furniture could use a bit of repair and renewal, the overall comfort and cleanliness were commendable. The staff’s humility and respectful demeanor added to the pleasant experience, ensuring we felt welcome throughout our stay.

Village Hotel Bugis is a great choice for travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and excellent service in Singapore.

The stay was a great experience! The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The room was spacious and bright, the design simple and comfortable, the cleaning was done in place and every detail made people feel at home. Of particular note is the service at the front desk, especially Jeffrey. He was very professional and welcoming, not only checking us in quickly, but also patiently introducing us to the surrounding food and attractions. His recommendations were particularly great and enriched our trip.

In addition, the hotel is conveniently located, surrounded by a number of restaurants and convenience stores, and very convenient for travel. Whether it's a family trip or a business trip, this hotel is perfect. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations and I will definitely choose this hotel the next time I visit the city!

Fair value for Singapore, good sized room albeit extremely dated and poor amenities.

Couldnt find anywhere in the hotel to buy a coffee or drink on arrival, no evidence in the room of any room service on offer, not ideal after travelling for 12 hours.

Room was dark, only had 2 plug sockets, none next to beds to recharge personal devices.

Bathroom was dark with no illumination above the sink making taking a shave guesswork!

Location on Arab street is very convenient, and easy enough to walk to most locations in SG city within 40 mins if a tourist were so inclined.

Globally, the hotel would never survive with this room quality vs price, but in the hyper expensive rooms scene of Singapore people will put up with the inconveniences and lack of creature comforts in return for a $150 room rate.

My non-sc husband came to spend time with our 7 month old baby from 30 Oct to 1 Nov. We arrived earlier hoping to only put our bags down but was given an early check in. Nazirah (Love her red french tip nails!) who was on duty noticed that it was my birthday and warmly wished me, putting a smile on my face. She also offered for cake to be sent to our room at our convenience.

Room was really spacious and clean on the 18th floor. The view was great! The only letdown was that the AC had poor ventilation. We thought that the stuffiness was due to the sunlight shining in on us but realised it was the AC when we came back in the evening. We decided to call the concierge at about midnight as our baby was perspiring while sleeping. They sent a technician down in the next ten minutes and he confirmed that the AC was faulty. He immediately offered us a new room to move into and said that the manager on duty will call us when the room is ready. I have to express that the service recovery was outstanding.

The Village Bugis has been around for years and the location is very strategic, making it convenient to explore the vicinity with the MRT being so close.

To close our short stay, my husband wanted to do his Friday prayers at The Sultan Mosque. Faris was on duty and extended us a late check out so that our baby can wait in the comfort of our room. I understand that this is only given on a case to case basis so we were very fortunate that there was an opportunity to do so.

Thank you to the team at The Village Bugis. We will definitely recommend others to stay here because their customer service is top tier. We'd love to be here again one day :)

Reception staff are not friendly at all. The bellboy cannot communicate and unfriendly. We speak english and he tried to speak in his language. Rooms are not sound proof could hear the baby crying from beside of our room. No quality control of the room. The kettle broken, water clogged, no slippers. No water bottle as mentioned in the website, they said the tap water is drinkable. The area is walking distance to MRT but many construction around there. Quite noisy in the morning.

A great choice in terms of value for money in this central location near bugis cross MRT crosspoint and the hotel is well staffed with great staff especially the cleaners and lobby employees, apart from Mr moody however at the front door entrance but he might have been having a bad day. Hotel should provide 2 large lounge suites on level 3 lobby area for waiting times. There is also a little bit of noise transfer from next doors shower tap. Unless we won Lotto, we would stay here again and this is really my only 2 suggestion for improvement as there is certainly adequate space for lounge chairs and water flow plumbing corrections
