The breakfast is very very disappointing and the room door is not sound proof at all..However the staff are very very good. The hotel definitely need renovation. It is probabaly worth less than 100 a night. I would say it is a budget hotel standard.

The hotel is centrally located for all my needs - mainly the mtr Bugis station a short walk away. I was pleased to find that the Indian quarter and the Arab quarter were also nearby, and Chinatown only a short mtr ride away. The hotel has a kind of old Hollywood faded glamour feel about it. Maybe some rooms have...

Older hotel but with all the comforts required. Bed was comfortable and lovey view of the area. A bit rough around the edges but not bad at all for 30 year old hotel. Area is the best in Singapore for food and bars!

While this hotel was reasonable, it does appear to be showing its age. Location was good, with many small restaurants nearby, about 10 minute walk to the MTR and 20-25 minutes walk to Raffles. Breakfast was a wide choice, but little variation from day to day and normally only one or two types of fruit available (water melon and orange)....

This is an hotel that caters for a mainly Asian clientele, who were about 90% it seemed whilst we were there. The hotel is well situated 250m from Bugis MRT. The quality of the breakfast was poor, at least by western standards, and other hotels in Singapore. That said there was an egg station where we could get omelettes etc....

Nice hotel, decor was a bit dated in older rooms. We were upgraded as I requested a lower room due to being in a wheelchair. Staff were very helpful. Bugis village/kampong glam was a great area and we walked/wheeled most of the city from here. Be aware that food/drink is cheaper than marina/raffles area.
