The hotel was clean as was the room. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was free and the food was good, a buffet with dishes acceptable to SE Asians as well as Americans. The staff were helpful - our taxi was ordered and arrived ontime at 3:00 in the morning. Our friends who live in Singapore said that the cost of the...

Check in was a little slow as there was only one girl behind the desk and about 4 different parties wanting to check in. Room itself had a dorm feel and was a little basic and outdated, but was clean and comfortable. Hotel location is fairly close to Orchard road (5 mins taxi ride) and is behind a shopping mall...

You have to pay additionally for the internet connection 5 SGD/30 minutes. Ok location and breakfast, but we found a strange smell in the room and very noisy air conditioner. The staff during the night shift was not helpful. For the same price we would suggest to take another hotel.

I don't want to be to critical of the price because it seems in our search it was normal for all hotels to charge an extra person fee for kids over 1. In the States I would have expected to pay about $80 for this standard of hotel and room and we paid over $200. No carpet in the room...

Okay, the pictures in the internet really looked great, and a lot of people gave good reviews, but the final decision was based on price. We were staying for 7 days and 6 nights, so we'd rather use our money for other things rather than in a 5-star hotel. When we got there, we hardly recognized the place. We got...

Its an average hotel, with a bed to sleep in. and based on Singapore costs its at the cheaper end. The staff were ok, not ultra grumpy, and not ultra friendly either. The biggest advantage this hotel has is the location. The MRT (train system) really is just a few minutes walk away. Use the Park Mall Car Park or...

my friend and i were first time visitors to singapore and found the ywca in a great location, its was a 4 minute walk-cut thru the carpark of 'park mall' and take the elevator to the first floor, and your at the front doors, cross the road and your there-'dhobi gat' mrt train station (and use the mrt-its a breeze-...

Cons: 1) WIFI... you need to pay in order to use it. :( 2) Bed and pillows are so hard. 3) Toilet does not have bidet. 4) HIDDEN CHARGES! Pro: 1) Food is good. 2) Easy access to train station.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our stay in Singapore and to be honest, this wasn't a particularly great experience. The rooms are small, dated and reminded me of a prison cell or boarding school room. The air conditioning is very noisy and can take a whole day to cool the room. The breakfast is ok. The pool area...

We stayed here for two nights and it's certainly not value for money. Paid Singapore $186/ night for a fairly large room - with an ante room which we didn't ask and never got to use. It's quite a distance from public transport and for an asthmatic 58 year old, I found it difficult to go up and down the...
