I have stayed twice in Chinatown Hotel and have been very satisfied with the service as the staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and many of my colleagues stay here when they stop by in Singapore. I will be happy to return here to stay.

Low budget hotel in the heart of China town. Rooms are small but everything is there except a mini bar. Bathroom also small and tiles are slippery when wet. During the night no noises, something you should not expect in a hotel in the heart of Chnatown. Very friendly and helpfull service

The outer fascade is quaint. Internally its clean but characterless. The term breakfast can mean just about anything. Here its sliced bread and jam, coffee and tea- everything from a packet-- dont expect anything more. My room was quiet as I had requested. I gradually got used to its shape which was sort of like being in a train carriage....

I would say this is one of the best in location, very strategically located in the heart of Chinatown. So many Cafes n Restaurants all around. All Chinatown attractions are within walking distance. Its a real budget hotel. Rooms are very small. OK for couples, not families. Hot and Cold water available at pantry for guest. Breakfast was exceptionally simple,...

My Sister and I stayed here. The Staff particularly, Robin, was very helpful to my Sister who has disability issues by allowing her to use his phone. And also by recommending a place to eat which was just across the road from the hotel. The food there was excellent. Accommodation tight in term of room size and the area for...

So many out there don't often really read words: stars and pictures for Generation X to Z who are too busy playing games to read the small print, never mind the subtext. We had two nights at this hotel which advertizes itself as a budget hotel perfect for business people. The rooms (like most in Singapore) are not used to...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.

“If you are determined to stay here, and it suits some of course, then ask for a back room as it will be for sure quieter than one over the front where from experience of the area I know it gets quite noisy and raucous on the social scene and cars although it is quite a narrow road width.”
