The main reason in choosing this hotel is due to the room can accommodate 4 people in a room. Second reason is the distance to Bras Basah MRT, near to foodrepublic and 7-eleven. Now with a new Downtown line still construction and expected to finish in year 2017 just infront of the hotel will be another convenient. The check-in and... More

Hi this was one of the cheapest options we found in SIN. location is still central, walkable distance eg to clark quay, National museum (nice!) etc. yes, walking in SIN can be a bit strenous but we loved it ;-) many restos around the hotel. the construction site was a little bit noisy during day, but they stop working (or... I loove this hotel's location! 1 bus ride to changi airport, 200m away from bras basah station. literally waliking distance to tourists attractions. Food court/ restaurant is also 200meters away! It is very affordable (for the location) we got it at 3,500 php/ night for 2 persons. The room is very clean and is made up eveyday!

This hotel is well worth the price. Considering its location, it has now become my favorite hotel to stay when I'm in Singapore. It is within a few meters from the train station, with a new one being constructed just right in front of the hotel. It has 7-11 in front for your midnight cravings. There is also a food... More

We stayed in room 205 which was a nice large room and quiet. It didn't overlook Bencoolen St where all the new MRT construction is happening. Aircon very good. Nice large flatscreen TV. We saw some photos on Trip Advisor of rooms that have a window between the bedroom and bathroom. We were concerned that would be the case here.... More

The location good, walk a few minute to Brash Basah MRT. Has a Food court between MRT to hotel, price is cheap (around 1.5 to... More

Stayed at the Strand for 6 nights. The room was big and clean. Staff were helpful and the breakfast alternated daily. Over all a pleasant experience would stay again. Current building work out the front but we only heard when went outside.

Strand Hotel is centrally located, so that you can walk to a lot of points. The MRT station Bras Basah is also nearby. Unfortunately, there is a contruction area in front of the hotel, which is very noisy the whole day; but during the night everything is very quiet. The hotel itself has nice rooms with kind of funny toilet... More

We booked this hotel 2 weeks ago via AGODA with a bit of apprehension since the reviews were not really very enticing. To our surprise, we actually liked our stay. The air-conditioning was good, the ambiance was cozy and the cleanliness was above average. We stayed in room 915 and although there was an ongoing construction, we were not bothered... More
