It's not at all what the pictures suggest. I stayed there with my parents and had a booking for 5 days but had to leave in just 2 days. There were no beds! But in fact just mattresses on the floor, which gave my dad a backache. Rooms were smaller than a public restroom. Extremely, extremely unpleasant stay. It's not...

Stayed here in November last year. Main reason was the price compared to other hotels. Accommodation in Singapore can be quite expensive. Also this hotel served a basic breakfast that included one hot item like eggs. This was adequate as most budget hotels in Singapore would not served breakfast. Central located to Little India and close to two MRT stations....

Singapore can be so expensive and were looking for a mid-level hotel at a reasonable price and we found it in the Perak Hotel. This small hotel is located in the Little India section and us just across the street from an MRT station and 1 block over from a bus station that is also a stop on the "Hop...

This is a great hotel for anyone not wanting to spend a fortune on accommodation in Singapore. It is right next to Rocher Metro and on the edge of Little India. Just across the road from Sim Lim Centre which is great for camera shoppers. Our room was noisy on Friday as it is near a mosque, otherwise a good...

I have been using this as my go-to residence while in Singapore. Always pleasant. Friendly environment. Rooms are sufficient. Plenty of food nearby. MRT stations within walking distance. Bus and taxis are convenient too. Quiet environ despite being in Little India

Perak hotel located near the rochor mrt station. It's a budget friendly hotel. Neat and clean, bit tiny in term of room sizes but staffs are friendly and helpful. Within budget you will be able to get a room with complementary breakfast which worth it.

We stayed in the loft, which is an apartment size room (two bed rooms, living room, small kitchen, bathroom). Great fit for the 5 of us. With the wooden floor however, we were asked to be a bit quiet in walking around. Not easy with little boys that like to run and jump... WIFI also did not reach as far...

We booked this off the net after reading reviews and looking for cheaper and valued accommodation. I can not rank this place any better than I had hoped. First impression, staff. They are genuine and friendly all the time. It's the little things that make a difference...They picked up it was my wife's Birthday and presented her with a cake...

Staff go the extra yard to make your stay pleasant, but the accommodation is quite basic. The price is cheap by Singapore standards, and the location is perfect for soaking up the Little India ambiance. Okay for a couple of nights, but wouldn't want to stay here for a holiday.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
