No windows! No hot water in bathroom for shower or sink! No real coffee but a premix of SUGAR, milk powder and coffee. Bed felt like sleeping on a wood plank. However we were too tired to care. Only stayed there for four and a half hours to catch our flight back home.

In the Malay area of town, about 2 hour walk to Marina Bay for example or 15-20mins or so in a taxi. Nice Hawker market within 5 mins walk. Cheap bus journey from airport which takes around 45-60mins. Or accessible by the MRT at roughly same time but a little pricier. Hotel is a converted historical building as is much...

Room - clean, spacious with lots of space to walk around and pack your luggage. Don't have a wardrobe but there are hangers around, not an issue for me. Safe is provided. Basic amenities provided as well. Toilet is big comparing to the hotels with same price range. Bed was ok for me, not too hard. Sound proof needs to...

I arrived in Singapore after over 24hrs of traveling and my experience with this hotel was really disappointing. Check-in was easy enough - the hotel is mostly clean (though the toilet seat in my room was not wiped down) and cute but nothing to write home about. About 20 seconds after a laid down for a nap, what sounded like...

This is my second stay at Champion hotel. I got public Bus service No. 24 from the basement bus bays at Changi Airport and alighted at the Joo Chiat Complex bus stop and walked a few minutes to the hotel. Check-in was quick. I had booked a single room but was upgraded to a larger twin-bedded room. As I am...

Am trying out various boutique hotels in Singapore for my overnight stays. Normally just to use a clean affordable hotel to sleep only, not to far from my business meetings but sometimes need to catch up on work, so wifi is important. Champion Hotel meets this requirement. 20 mins taxi drive from Emerald Hill Road (SGD20) at 11pm after quite...

Is exactly what u got from the pictures. Staff are really warm, the moment You walked in. Overall, is the cutest room I ever stayed. :) For those who are driving, they provide free parking but not more than 1.58m. Don't have to worry about food, this place is known for delicious delicacies.

Staying in Joo Chiat

Neighbourhood Profile
Joo Chiat
The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighbourhood is packed with colourful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding. Visit Joo Chiat to take a break from the big city sights and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a laid-back and local vibe.
