This was my favorite place we stayed on our trip in Chile. The buildings are beautiful, all built by the owners, with green roofs and great hand-made touches. The building we stayed in was a strawbale construction, great insulation which kept us toasty warm with a single fire in the evening even though it was a cool night. We loved...

The best place of my trip. Everything was clean and nice (rooms, bathrooms, lodge, dinner table, etc). Excellent hospitality (attended by their owners). The owners are very nice, ask them for travel tips. You can also use the kitchen or buy a meal. The breakfast included hand made pie and jams (the best breakfast of my trip). If you are...

If you are looking for a tranquil and stunningly beautiful place to stay-go to Zapato Amarillo. The hosts are lovely folks and the food they make is delicious and plentiful. We spent 3 wonderful nights with our kids at this place and ended up wishing we had spent more. The gardens are fantastic, with lavender, flowers and fruits everywhere. The hosts are really nice people with plenty of suggestions and knowledge about the area and things to do. We had the meals offered 2 nights and it was really nice...

What a great place to be. I stayed in the dormitory octagon which is by its construction on its own already unique but i catched a cloudless night and could see the stars from the dormitory. Watching first the stars outside and moved to bed when it was getting cold. As i was the only one for one night i...

My family and I stayed 3 nights (2 adults and 2 kids ages 9 & 8). We can't say enough about this wonderful B&B! The cabins are designed in such a lovely manner (natural grass on the roof for insulation) and the rooms are exceptionally clean. There is an outstanding view of the Volcano and the property is surrounded by...

Armin and Nadia are the most amazingly warm and welcoming couple. They create a lovely ambience where it is easy to mingle and chat with other guests. They have loads of suggestions of what to do on the area and are always willing to help. Dinners were wonderful and the rooms spotlessly clean. As you can see we really enjoyed...

I liked this place so much I decided to come back again to show it off to a friend that joined me later in my trip. We both traveled around the lakes region in Chile and Argentina for several weeks and both of us thought Zapato Amarillo was probably the best place we encountered. Nadia and Armin are simply meant...
