I came here on my own, and for some reason was upgraded to the 'matrimonial suite'- no complaints here! Great room. Clean. Loud and creaky floors in hallways, but not a problem at night (I was probably out the latest out of anyone on my floor- sorry!) Perfect central location, beautiful building!

There is so much to like about this hostal. The staff are so friendly, helpful and welcoming that you feel instantly at home. The building itself is architecturally interesting and I loved the common parts and courtyard, where I ate a delicious breakfast every morning. As others have mentioned, the location is also very convenient and felt safe. I was...

Arrived late sweaty and all sorts of traffic screaming at me for holding them up because there is nowhere to park. But - inside the staff checked my booking and sure enough - I had not ticked the box to reserve parking. As I have driven all around South America ticking this box but hey... So the staff said not...

Cozy and comfortable rooms. Well located (less than 5min walk from Baquedano tube station) but quiet. Very nice breakfast and wifi in all the hostel (including rooms). Nice common areas including a cafe and a small patio

The Hostal Río Amazonas is everything a traveller could wish for: A beautiful hostal with a quiet patio, really close to Plaza Italia and the Cerro San Cristobal right in the city centre. The rooms are really clean and the staff is so welcoming and helpful! And the breakfast with fresh fruit juice is the best start in a exciting...

Well, I pretty much said it in the intro. The location is conveniently close to downtown, the tube and the popular bar/restaurants of downtown Santiago and everywhere is easy walking distance. The staff are numerous and more than willing to accommodate in any way that is requested of them, with the best multi lingual staff I came across in Chile....

This is a warm, cosy hostal that offers you a sense of being in your own little apartment while you're there. The staff (mostly women) are all helpful and friendly. There is a charming sitting room and patio area. The wifi was great and so was the shower. What more do you need! It is pricey but everything in Santiago...

Spent two nights in this hostal. It was really clean and friendly. Breakfast included lots of fresh fruit and the bread was delicious. The staff were informed and gave me some good advice of things to do and see. Definitely worth going on the walking tour of the markets.

Well located accomodation with very helpful staff. - clean rooms and adequate breakfast. Not the place to stay if you are expecting an atmosphere where there is interaction with other travellers - based on my stay here.
