maybe the name ¨Eco Hostel¨ attracts a certain crowd? The facility, guests, and staff made the experience comfortable, easy, and CLEAN. Two nice courtyards to hang out, work, eat, be social.... it´s not a loud place, but not too quiet either. Everyone is very friendly. Mix of ages. Computer with internet is available and very good wifi (for 88% of...

We stayed in a private room, wich was huge. Ecohostal has a warm and cozy atmosphere, high ceilings and woodfloor, lots of common areas, a really well equiped kitchen....It is absolutely clean. The staff is amazing.. we had nice evenings with other travellers from all over the world. What else can I say, we absolutely loved it!

Having spent quite some time in santiago and frequented several hostels, I can safely say that this is by far the best one of them all. Cheapest beds were of course dorms about £10 p/n, dobles etc a little more, but the place is marvellous: a beautiful, grand old house, spacious rooms, 24/7 hot showers & hot tap water so...

Perfect hostel for hanging out or chilling alone. They not only have 2 indoor common areas, but 2 as well! A wee bit of a walk to any attractions or places to go out or even to the underground, but taxis are cheap and walking never hurt anyone! Eco Hostel has an excellent, well-stocked kitchen for cooking (they separate trash,...

It was my first time in that great city and I couldn't make a reservation by internet, so our only option was just go walking an try to find an hostel with place for a couple in the middle of the summer. Fortunately, I foud the EcoHostel, an hostel located in the middle of the city, and it was a...

The hostel is clean and cheap. The staff are very friendly. It has one of the best kitted out hostel kitchens I have ever seen. As far as I can tell, none of the rooms are ensuite, but the showers are good, hot and clean. No aircon, but there are fans in all the rooms. However, not all the rooms...

I really enjoyed the 3 days I spent here. The place had a great atmosphere, good facilities, the kitchen was always kept clean, free internet. The rate included breakfast, which was good. I was a bit shattered after a month travelling round New Zealand so I didn't see as much of Santiago as I had hoped - it was so...

Very very clean! Comfortable place, great treatment, the staff was very helpful and nice. Great internet connection. We were given good advice about the city and recommendations for other places to visit and travel around Chile and the rest of South America. I definetly recommend it! Plus, they recycle!

“Some doubles upstairs have large opening doors and a balcony. Some of the rooms (doubles and dorms) don't have any windows at all.”

“The privates upstairs are great, the front room even has a balcony. The dorm downstairs is a little dark and right off the main room, but I didn't have a problem with noise while I was there since most people seem to hang out in the courtyards rather than inside.”
