It has the necessary spaces to eat and rest after a busy day.
I found the single beds too narrow for an adult and with only one pillow, which may make some people uncomfortable.
It has a snack service that can be purchased at any time at a reasonable price.
The staff is friendly and the infrastructure is basic and has very good connectivity with the subway half a block away and the bus station in front.
I recommend it to stay for a couple of days in case you have to do paperwork near the center but not for vacation.

This is the first time I visit Santiago and I was expecting a good service in this country but unfortunately my check inn wasn’t pleacent, took so long and I didn’t have any information about the city and location.

The receptionist was ready to go for lunch and didn’t explain the facilities in the hotel, I wish the ambassador of the hotel was there, I meet her last day and she make me feel more welcoming.

I hope after this experience staff can be more aware about give better service to the clients.

For locals should be good because is a convenience place to stay.

This hotel is a little simpler than the Ibis of Brazil, but there is no big surprise if you are used to it. The Central Station region is dangerous and busy, but we had to take an intermunicipal bus at seven in the morning. As the hotel is almost inside the terminal, we just crossed the street. The staff was polite, and there was a guard in the entrance lobby.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Ibis Central Station and would like to share my experience.
I had completed the online check-in process in advance, as recommended by an email from Accor. However, upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that this hotel did not have this functionality enabled. This was quite frustrating and resulted in an extended wait of approximately 35 minutes for check-in, which is excessive.
On the plus side, the soundproofing of the room was excellent, allowing for a quiet night's sleep. However, the bathroom was disappointing, with obvious deterioration in the shower area.

I was very disappointed with the conditions of the room and the hotel in general. Before forwarding the photos and videos to the Booking I thought it better to share with the gentlemen.
Clogged bathroom with hair, insufficient cleaning which does not match the standard of the Ibis I know. I forwarded the same message above on 30/08/24, on 01/09/24 the Ibis returned informing that me.sagwm was forwarded to the hotel and until today I have not received the return.

-We arrived at night and even though there was music and people in the restaurant, they told us that they were not serving. You could only buy snacks.
-The room was comfortable, but there were only bottles of liquid soap in the bathroom. Nothing else.
-We left at dawn to the airport and had to pay $12,000 for parking, even though they told us it was free.

The hotel is Ibis standard. From Wednesday to breakfast. If you are near the hotel it is worth eating in it. The biggest problem is the location. It is far from all the sights and the surroundings is quite dangerous. It stands next to a bus station and Uber has never stopped at the hotel door, has to move behind the terminal. Oh, there's a subway station next door.

Very nice hotel , great staff, very helpful. However, the locations is terrible. It is close to the bus station and the sidewalks are full of vendors. This makes it difficult to walk through. There are many pickpockets. I stayed at this place many times, but in the last two years, I was robbed twice during the day. So if you can, avoid this area.

For a short stay in Santiago, this is one of the best central locations for budget aware travellers. Located just near the main coach terminal (for airport and inter-city coaches), it is great for a one night layover, as we just enjoyed. And far better value than the airport hotels.
But it is also central to Santiago, ideal for a few days of leisure travel in this vibrant city.
Service is prompt and friendly, and delivers the "Ibis" brand standard very well.
Rooms are compact, but excellent value at their prices. And despite the central location, we slept very well with little noise. The street drum performance finished about 10.30pm, just in time for my beauty sleep!
Thankfully, they also provided real soap for the bathrooms, not the "prison cell" dispenser that their Bogota equivalents provide!
A few suggestions for travellers...
- make sure you pay in USD and show your tourist identification in your passport, to avoid the VAT (tax).
- I also suggest you join the Accor loyalty program, be fore booking, to obtain good booking and pricing.
- a benefit of this hotel is the bus transfer to and from the Santiago airport - at CLP1700 each way, the cheapest and best airport transfer. The hotel is a few metres from the service's city terminal, and also sits just above the "University of Santiago" Station of the excellent metro rail system (not the central station, suggested by s name, so do not get confused).
- this hotel is also close to the meeting point for the Free Walking Tour (see my review of this excellent introduction to the city).

The only drawback was the food standard at the hotel's restaurant. Prices were quite decent, especially the basic breakfast at USD5 pp. But the dinner meal standard was not much to excite you!

Overall, a good cage, well recommended.

We stayed there for 3 nights and paid the total of $ 169.00 with the breakfast, couldn't be better. You can get there by bus from the international airport 3 USD, the hotel is located no more than 3 min walking from the last stop, the main bus station. There are buses each 20 min until midnight, after that they leave every hour. It takes 20-30 min without traffic, couldn't be easier. The bus company is Tur-Bus. The hotel is the standard of Ibis chain, so there is no new, the same room everywhere. Small, same furniture, but clean every day. I got one towel with hole but it didn't bother me at all. The only cons are when I asked them for one more shampoo and soup they said I would need to go down I pick them by myself at the lobby, and there are no nice places to have a dinner, you would need to take a cab or subway, nothing within a walking distance. The best thing is the location, there is a subway station very near, 5 min walking, and the bus station. If you are planning to visit the Undurraga vineyard you will need to get one bus only. If you are planning to visit downtown, just get the subway, 10 min and done. There is a big supermarket 2 blocks away, called Lider, you can find everything there, wines with better prices than in the vineyards. The neighborhood is not the best you can have, but when you are very next to the central stations there is no way to have a nice view. The lobby said it is a safe zone to walk during the night, I tried a couple blocks but saw weird people and places so decided to turn around and go back. There is a mall, 10 min walking, nice stores and food court. You can find another food court in the bus station, with Mc Donald's for example. I would go back and recommend if you are looking for a decent place with a cheap price for no more than 3 nights, after that stay in another area with more options to eat.
