TL:DR Excellent location, safe lodging, walking distance to lots of sights and restaurants, excellent receptionists.

But the devil is in the details.
The bathroom: excellent water pressure in the evening, pretty bad in the morning. The bathroom needs hooks for clothes, a toilet brush, a bath tub stopper for baths, and better and more plentiful toilet paper. The toilet paper you get melts down to nothing unless layered multiple times. Also, the light fixture is awful, you can't get light on your face in the mirror. Do with that what you will. Ah, and the kicker: the fixture hangs off the ceiling and is held tight by a wad of folded toilet paper. Classy.

Half of the light switches lead nowhere and light nothing.

The kitchen has the barest minimum of dishes, cutlery, and paper towels (those are also very thin and turn to nothing when wet). If you want to cook, you won't have anything to do it with - no cutting boards, no spatulas, no colanders, you get my drift. And washing dishes is also a problem as there is nothing provided. I suppose the hotel expects us to wash the dishes with our bare hands.

The living room is nice, it leads to a full-size balcony. But in winter, the lower level is noticeably colder than the upper level, and in winter that means you would have to wear your outside clothes indoors on the lower level. The furniture isn't comfortable.

The bedroom is warmer, but the bed is kind of problematic. The sheets are too short and will pop out from under the mattress at the head and foot level simultaneously. The blankets haven't been washed in ages. I found hair of different colors and lengths stuck in the blankets. The sheets used to separate you from the blankets are also too short, and you end up touching the dirty blankets and jolting awake from disgust. There are 4 pillows given, and all are the same fat thickness. My neck will need therapy up on return because sleeping without the pillows and with them was a problem.

The drafty door to the upper level mini balcony was fixed with duct tape.

The staff is super helpful and are the best feature of this hotel.

Get the cleaning service if you can, even if it costs extra. Santiago in winter is dusty; and pollution particles together with the dust will make everything dirty with time, if you are staying longer than a handful of days. I brought brand new blush pink house slippers with me so I would not wear street shoes indoors, and you should see these dirty things now. All that was from walking around the apartment and leaning against furniture and fixtures. That told me everything about how briefly the apartment exists in an acceptably clean state.

I'd suggest you look for different accommodations if you can.

Interesting place. We booked the "loft" apartment, got a kitchen, fridge, sitting area (convertible couch to bed), two balconies complete with pets (a couple of pigeons who visited us daily, and one got inside the apartment for a look around when I wasn't watching), and a bedroom loft. AC worked well, showerhead was weird, it was a detachable head, but the housing to hold it in place didn't work, so you kind of had to hose off. Fair price, great location. Quiet most of the time. They only give you one key to get in the building, so that would be a pain if you're a couple and want to do different things, but generally you can wait outside and go in when someone comes out. There is no daily maid service, you need to make your own bed, whatevs. I'd stay there again. Be careful with cab drivers at the airport, the one who took us to the hotel charged us twice what the airbnb driver charged us for the ride back.

Staff at reception extremely polite, friendly and helpful. We arrived in Santiago at 8 am. And the allowed to leave their luggage so they could comfortably get around the city, waiting for check-in time.
They also explained that they would reimburse the taxes with credit on paper by virtue of the sheet issued upon entry into the country.
Really exhaustive even in the explanations.
The room is clean, spacious and bright and the property is located in the center.
Although there is no breakfast included in the rate, they actually provide a box x each guest with a sandwich, yogurt, juice, milk and coffee, x breakfast.
Wi - fi working.
Much appreciated. Great value for money.

Untransparent when posting information when booking on platforms. They charge too high to go with a small dog. 120 usd plus 18 usd per night. Values should be posted BEFORE booking and not after confirmation when there are normally penalties to cancel. Hôtel does not intend to publish the information when the comment was made known to it. The staff is very friendly.

This hotel charges in dollars and at the time of arrival, the conversion from the dollar to the Chilean peso is indicated by them and is not governed by the conversion on the day the apartment is rented. They indicate that it is because a tax is paid for the conversion since here in Chile there is only VAT and there are no taxes on the conversion of the dollar to Chilean peso. Hotels like these are a shame for Chile and also the applications or websites are a shame because they do nothing to stop this type of scams.

I’ve just stayed for 5 days/4 nights in this service apartment. The check-in was very smooth and they allowed me to get my loft much earlier, which I appreciated after a more than 24-hours flight. The loft is very spacious and well equipped. The moment I’ve entered, I felt home.

The location could have not been any better. Just a few metres to all the attractions in Santiago de Chile. Restaurants and Cafés are near by, not typical for tourists more for locals.

The AC works well for the kitchen/living room area, but not for the bedroom area. Fortunately, it cooled down outside, so I could open the window until early morning, when it became noisy. Cleaning was not included, but for 15 USD they did it.

Floor from the lift to the room was always occupied with laundry- big minus!!!

English is spoken at the reception.

Disaster from start to finish. Firstly we were significantly over charged for our stay. Then the air conditioning unit flooded our apartment and completely soaked our clothes. When we complained about this we were downgraded to a smaller, worse room. Then we complained about the room, as we had paid quite a lot of money for a good room, we were then moved to a better room. Then, our toaster caught on fire, filling the room with thick black smoke. We had to put the fire out ourselves and worst of all, the smoke alarms DID NOT go off. When we told reception her response was “did you open a window?”

First of all let me start by saying I'm not a complainer, I work for the industry for over 10years, in a previous hotel the shower head fell on top of my head.....and I didn't complain! Now It's my job to warn any travelers to stay away from this nightmare of a place. The lower prices for extended stays is what draws you in.....then you book a reservation, arrive to the hotel only to find out that the suites do not received daily housekeeping services, not even your trash is taken out, your'e treated like an animal, no service of any kind, it's worst than being in a hostel. The manager was never around to speak to, and the security personel barked at you when you asked them a simple question. You never got towels or linen, unless you begged for them, and they would act like their doing you a huge favor (the unthinkable) I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life until I stayed for 2 misserable weeks in this place, how I wish someone would have warned me to stay away! There is hundreds of great places in Santiago, were employees treat you with respect & are happy to have you as a guest, do not pick this place!!!

This property has apartments; one building is a hotel with breakfast included, maid service, etc. We stayed one (of several) towers that has an apartment but NO maid service, breakfast or restaurant. At first, I was dismayed but then found that there's a huge supermarket a one-minute walk away. Once I had water, food, wine, tissues, etc., I really liked it. The kitchen was fully functional, though not overly stocked with cookware. I was too busy to cook dinner; a light breakfast was fine for me. The bed was very comfortable. The bed and bathroom are on the second floor of the loft. It is very safe, quiet, inexpensive. Nice view as well. SO much within walking distance, so in the end, I was VERY happy with my little home away from home. I was there for 7 nights. There is also a gym and a cool playroom for children with LOTS of blow-up bouncing toys. I don't think there is a pool, but not sure.

This is a small hotel, just a bunch of apartment - type places. I was hesitant about the concept when I researched. Third is top floor.
It is in an ideal place : 30 m to the left is the elevator up to the top of the Santa Lucia Hill. The area of Santa Lucia has a great little market where all sorts of handicrafts are available.
Turn to the right as you come out of the (locked) door and walk down Huerfanos, to a pedestrian
area where cars are banned, with shops galore.
It is downtown centre. Men in suits, about 5 to one men to women. Shoeshine men here and there. Cheap as borsht. Most are business types and macho. We saw only 3 ! obese folks in 3 days.!
The staff at the front desk are real helpful, with limited English but I have limited Spanish, so its a toss.
No liquor license so the ":lounge" is non functional. But one goes around the corner of the block to an " Express" and buy anything ....supermarket. It has no outside ads so look for it. Big ! Chilean wine is good and cheap ! Recall that you have to get all fruit, bread etc weighed before you go to the checkout chicks.
So... the 'Apart Hotel' is a good value.
Breakfast comes on a tray the evening before and is put on the fridge. Toaster, coffee maker - BTW, buy your own grounds at the supermarket as the stuff delivered is Nescafe powder(yuck., There is a kettle, stove, microwave etc.
All OK for the real good price.
And the location deserves a real shout out.
We had fun strolling around.
