Welcome to a new concept hotel with the best location in downtown Santiago, in the financial heart of the city. From the historic center of the city, it opens up a new Boss Hotel where tradition blends with our European ancestors of our native origins. Its design has been recently created by famed architect German del Sol, national architecture award 2006, so who stirs great Andean weaving brushstrokes to paint walls, slate stone floors with warm rustic rugs, lots of light and liveliness of colors in the rooms and dining rooms, classic European furniture rethought in a more minimalist and cool, a true celebration of styles that finally get himself ... At the end of a South American cruise, we decided to stay a few more days in Santiago , Chile, before returning home. This hotel proved to be very pleasant. Though the room was a bit small, it was still very comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful in guiding us and reserving transport to the airport. A pleasant experience

Terrible place to stay in Stg. First of all…this hotel is rated 4 star hotel..i suppose according to Chile classification. Room was filfthy, moldy and smelly: tabacco/cigarrete smoke and not cleaned properly. Curtains were stained and moldy..never been cleaned i suppose…breakfast was a joke..moldy fruits…bad scrambled eggs..no coffee..they had some kind of so called coffee…didn’t taste like coffee…

The hotel itself is in a downtown location near to transport links and main city attractions, so that’s good. The main part of the hotel is quite nice, but the rooms and bathrooms need serious updating. I know some people have mentioned the decor, but I can overlook unusual decor as long as things are clean and comfortable, and the rooms in this hotel are unfortunately not. The hotel was not particularly cheap either, so we felt like we had paid for better than we got. The bathrooms look like they haven’t been updated for a few decades, so there are broken tiles and grouting. Our room still had rubbish in it from the previous guests, and we had to find our own toilet paper since we weren’t provided any. The room next door was being renovated so we had drilling noises and a paint smell. Then they left the window of the room next door open one night to clear the smell, and the wind made the window creak all night so we couldn’t sleep and we couldn’t access the next door room to close the window. We asked at reception the next day and weirdly they couldn’t just close the window, instead we had to change rooms. Our new room had no working air conditioner, so we were far too hot and lost another night of sleep. We asked for someone to come and fix it, but they just came to the room, looked at it, said it was broken and shrugged and suggested we move rooms again. By this time we were on our last night of our stay and we decided it was just too much hassle to move again. We slept with the window open for some cool air and got some sleep inbetween the city noises. All in all, the hotel could have done a lot more to help us and make our stay a bit more comfortable, so we were not impressed.

This is a very basic hotel in Santiago's rundown downtown quarters. Whereas the neighborhood has some strange quarters and uninteresting dining options, I never felt unsafe and thought the hotel had convenient access to the subway. It's also very easy to walk to major attractions (La Moneda, Musso de Arte Precolombiano, Plaza de Armas etc). Value was great (roughly half of what I would have paid elsewhere). I'd recommend it for a short stay.

In 8 or 9 trips to Santiago since 2008, this is the best hotel I've stayed in so far that fit my budget. Maybe demand is depressed for now in the Centro area because of working from home or tourism being way down due to Covid, but this felt a lot like a 4-star place that's tremendous value for now. Room was spacious, there was a room safe that was easy to use, bed was comfortable, and housekeeping staff did a good job. Can't comment on the breakfast or the restaurants (I don't think my room rate included the breakfast). Location is excellent, close to entrance D for the Ud. de Chile Metro. There's also a market on that corner with long hours and most supplies a person would need. The Paris-Londres neighborhood is also nearby with the food options, and it's walking distance to basically anywhere downtown, especially in the eastern half. Barrio Lastarria is about 15 minutes' walk or 2 Metro stops. Desk staff had varying levels of English proficiency but were always helpful. It's not gringolandia but neither are the prices. I'd rate it an excellent choice.

The Fundador Hotel is beautiful! The room is huge, with a bed, sofa, TV, balcony, coat rack, dressing table, complete bathroom with bathtub. Big and powerful shower, hot and delicious water. The bed is delicious. The air conditioning did not work as well as we wanted. Breakfast is plentiful, but there was no vegan option on the menu. It is worth informing the reception, if you are a vegan, and asking them to provide something vegan. No one on the team spoke Portuguese.

This hotel offers comfortable rooms for a really good price. My room was renovated, small bathroom and rainfall shower. A in-room sofa offers additional comfort. Housekeeping did a great job! Staff is very friendly in all areas of the hotel. From Monday to Friday, there is a Happy Hour at the Bar. Convenient location opposite shopping mall Galeria Centro. Walking distance to Plaza de Armas.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is superb and the rooms were very comfortable. The decor is modern and unique, which I appreciated a lot. The hotel is within walking distance from most of the city highlights. Breakfast was very nice as was the bar service in the evening. Wifi was strong and consistent. They also offer computers in the lobby area. The only downfall is the noise coming from the street, which was constant throughout the night.
