This is a wonderful world-class hotel. The staff is exceedingly helpful. Great breakfast and the rooms are what you would expect from a 4-5 star hotel. We stayed one night when we arrived in Chile and then decided to stay here again the night before our departure.

Our bellman, Matias, did an outstanding job of arranging details for a special celebration on our return stay. He arranged a special cheesecake and balloons along with our ground transfer from the airport.

The property manager, Marco, did a great job in accommodating our needs for a late checkout and a great room for our comfort.

The Regal Pacific is a classy 5* hotel, located in Las Condes, a modern and bustling part of the city and well away from the heart of any current issues. The staff are, without exception, very friendly and the concierges, one of whom was in training, have been excellent in offering advice and booking activities for us. There is a metro almost outside, a large supermarket 5 minutes walk away, access to the Hop On Hop Of bus 5 minutes walk away around the corner, some bars in a park approximately 10 minutes away and a classy bar with an outside terrace at the Best Western, just along the side road to the left of the hotel. The Regal Pacific has no outside bar area and the bar itself is smart but uninviting, also being used as the restaurant, so there is no bar atmosphere as you have to sit at dining tables. This was busy during the Happy Hour where you should have some drinks and snacks for a lowish price - we didn't use it. We were offered a complimentary drink on check-in so ordered two Pisco Sours that we drank in the hotel lobby which was more inviting. We were fortunate that we were able to have an early check in to our Deluxe room on the 18th floor. The room was modern, smart but rather more style than functionality. It is the sort of room where there is a lack of effective storage space and you have difficulty in finding things as its layout isn't practical. The lights etc are all electronic from a keypad so a technophobe's nightmare, but I did get my head around it eventually. The bed was very comfortable but in 34 degree heat, the thick quilt was a hindrance rather than a pleasure, particularly as the air conditioning refused to get the temperature in the room lower than 26 degrees. The mirror in the room was in the wrong position for my wife to apply make-up and the wardrobe didn't have a full hanging section for her dresses. My pet hate was the bathroom that had a large clear window from the bedroom, so it offered little privacy. The shower itself was good and in a small cubicle, part of the transparent bathroom with the toilet itself located therein. Breakfasts looked to be good but with a rage of poorly cooked hot options (however, the mushrooms were in fact excellent), a good range of fresh fruit, OK cold processed meats, cheeses and hard boiled eggs but disappointing bread with a toaster that only toasted one side. The breakfast looked better than it tasted. All in all, the Regal Pacific offered a degree of comfort and luxury (the two swivel chairs in the bedroom were very nice) but a lack of provision of even a modest amount drinking water after day 1, or more than one coffee capsule for the whole four nights' stay, bordered on bizarre for one of their top rooms. The drawbacks of the room weren't compensated for by the positives of the hotel and if returning to Santiago, we would choose a different hotel as nice as the Regal Pacific was.

Unfortunately we only booked one night here, after a cruise, before flying home. We transferred from San Antonio and arrived early, but on checking in we were allowed to have our room there and then because it was ready. That was a bonus.

Our room was on the 16th floor and we were escorted to it by one of the staff, who not only brought up our luggage, but showed us where everything was and how it all worked. Each guest gets a free bottle of water in the room, which was a nice touch.
The room was very clean and well equipped.

We used the bar (especially as we were given a voucher for a complementary drink) and in the following morning we had breakfast in the restaurant. We have never seen such a wide selection of breakfast options and the coffee was the best we'd had in weeks.

The free wifi was the best we'd been able to use over the holiday.

The hotel's location is in one of the nicer districts of Santiago and there are plenty of shops in close proximity. You do not feel threatened walking around the local area.

All the staff are helpful and friendly and checkout was very efficient.

We'd recommend this as a base to anyone wanting to explore Santiago or as a pre/post cruise stopover.

We stayed here for one night after our cruise and before our flight back to the UK. The great service started as soon as our taxi pulled up. The receptionist sorted out the paperwork etc promptly and it was good to find our room ready although we arrived early. The room on the 11th floor was lovely with a view over the Las Condes area of the city. The concierge William brought our luggage up in no time at all and told us all about the room, hotel and local area.
Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choices for all tastes, cereals, fresh fruit, hot and cold foods and pastries as well juices and hot drinks
We enjoyed our stay here, even walking out to a local restaurant in the evening felt safe. With hindsight we wished we had booked several nights stay instead of one.

We stayed two nights in the hotel after it was recommended by a family friend who is local. The staff was highly competent and service-minded. We had decided to go on a hike the morning of our return flight to the US. They were kind enough to give us a late check out so we could shower after our hike. The restaurant and bar are both very good with a huge breakfast buffett. Also, their pasta dishes and risottos were memorable, some of the best we have had traveling. When we go again to Santiago, this hotel will be our stay.

This is when you wished you would have spent the time to do a little more homework than TA reviews…

Pros: responsive and pleasant customer service, tasty lunch in the restaurant (the chicken stew, black bean stew and ceviche were delicious). Also, The sauna was very warm and cold water was provided when I rented the sauna for $10. The room was large and nice.

Opportunities…the worst- at 2:30am, the lighting above our bed turned on and it could not be shut off. It took maintenance 15 minutes to determine how to shut down the whole system until the morning. It was especially painful later to have the hotel charge us $2 for a cup of coffee in the room, for the nicest room in the hotel when we were inconvenienced in the middle of the night. ???

The gym had a lot of useful equipment but it is no spa or gym really. It’s a small room with rusty weights. The team was very friendly but the gym is unacceptable for a hotel deemed 5 star????!!!!
Massages were done by nice people and they were value priced for sure, but it was more like a body rub on a hard table with a rough towel to cover you.

And finally, not the hotels fault assuredly, but if you are looking for a charming area to stay and visit in Santiago, to walk to cafes or shops, this is not it.

WiFi needs to be improved. We asked for and had installed a router in our room in order for us to receive a strong signal. Otherwise, everything met or exceeded our expectations. Very friendly staff. Given safety concerns currently in Santiago, this hotel is far from any demonstrations. We felt very safe at all times.

There is no pool, only an indoor jacuzzi. The /jacuzzi is extremely limited. We were allowed to reserve the jacuzzi (which was really not that nice) for 40 minutes and the second time we wanted to use it we had to pay 20.000 per PERSON extr a which is ridiculous! The bed and the room were extremely nice making this hotel worth the money. The dinner was not good at all. Rather disgusting. The hotel staff was rude at check in and not nice and welcoming at all.

The room was unexpectedly huge. Even though we were on a very busy street in metropolitan Santiago our room was extremely quiet with an excellent view of the city and Andes mountains. The lighting system was superb. The breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel—amazing assortment of fresh fruit which was constantly replenished and a huge assortment pastries. The hot foods were perfectly hot—no dried out or chewy. The fresh juices wonderful— from raspberry juice and custard apple juice. All the staff that we met were very helpful and pleasant.

An outstanding hotel on many levels: professionalism of staff, location, cleanliness, comfort, features, restaurant, price.

My wife and I traveled to Santiago recently and deplaned around 7am. I knew that hotels are often unprepared for their guests until mid-afternoon. Therefore, I booked an extra night the night of our flight and we were able to check in immediately upon arrival. I should also mention that doing so did not break the budget. We found the RP to be a very reasonably priced hotel.

By the way, we hired a private driver to shuttle us from the airport to our hotel and this worked out beautifully. His name is Christian Herrera and we would highly recommend him as a private driver and tour guide.

Check in was smooth and easy. The front desk manager spoke excellent English and a porter delivered our bags in short order. Our room was large with a beautiful, expansive view of the city and surrounding mountains. There was a couch, a large desk, a refrigerator with a fully stocked bar, a room safe and a very comfortable bed. We were on the 11th floor, so things were quiet and noise from outside was minimal. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. We ate in the restaurant for dinner that evening and it was also excellent. We were a bit worried that being of Spanish tradition, the restaurant would not open until 8pm, but it opens at 6.

The location was excellent for us because we always take the metro whenever a city has one. In the case of Regal Pacific, the metro is literally across the street within 100 meters. Very convenient.

Bottom line, I would highly recommend the RP for a place to stay in Santiago and will stay here again if our travels return us to Santiago.
